The D.A.S. Event-121A is a powered, 21" direct-radiating, rear-loaded subwoofer system designed to provide extended bass response to the Event line array series full-range cabinets, and it is well suited for rental houses, bars, clubs, mobile DJs, or any pro audio application. The Event-121A utilizes a 3200W Class-D amplifier to power the 21" woofer, provinding a frequency response of 32 to 125 Hz with a peak SPL output of 141 dB.

The birch plywood enclosure is finished with black ISO-flex paint and includes two handles (one per side) and a third on the rear top as well as two wheels for ease in transport. The rear panel offers two XLR inputs, two XLR loop-thru outputs, a level control, a 63 to 100 Hz low-pass filter control, and a dedicated polarity switch. When using two or three subwoofers, a cardioid switch is included to help reduce the bass response at the rear of the stacks, cutting down on stage volume and feedback issues. The top panel offers a pole-mount socket for use with 35mm speaker poles for mounting full-range speakers. Additionally, the D.A.S. Event-121A features a powerCon input and pass-thru to daisy-chain power to multiple subwoofers and ships with a power cable.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this woofer be a good match with the HR824 mkii monitor speaker?

A: The Mackie SR18S 18" 1600W Professional Powered Subwoofer could be too powerful for the HR824 Studio Monitors to compete with. Perhaps the Electro-Voice ELX118P 18" Live X Powered Subwoofer (B&H # ELELX118P) might be a better match.

Q: 2. Can this system connect to stage monitors?

A: The Fender Passport Event Series 2 Portable Powered PA System's line output could be connected to an active stage monitor.

Q: 3. Hi ! How can I connect this subwoofer, I mean what I need to use for my Computer. (I had 2 rokit 8)?

A: You need an interface for good sound basically you would come output from interface connected to KRK sub inputs then 2 more xlr cables from the output of KRK sub into Rokit 8's input or if you dont want an interface you can connect a 3.5mm jack into computer with 2 male xlr on the other end connect that to KRK sub then 2 more cables xlr calbes from sub to Rokit 8's.. If you have any questions please video chat Pro Audio .

Q: 4. Can you fly the SRX828SP? If so what mount would you recommend?

A: The SRX828SP does NOT have flypoints. It is not made or rated for safe suspension. JBL does not recommend that you fly this product.

Q: 5. Is the power rating of 100 watts continuous, RMS, or peak?

A: The 100W rating for the American Audio APX CS8 Powered Column PA System Mixer and Bluetooth (Black) is peak power.

Q: 6. include power?

A: This does not include a power supply. You will need the one listed below: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/766323-REG/Remote_Audio_PS12V1_5A_12V_DC_1_5A_Power.html

Q: 7. what's the warranty on these?

A: The Yorkville Sound ES21P Elite Series 21" 2400W Powered Subwoofer comes with a limited 10-year warranty on the wooden enclosure, and a 2-year limited warranty on the other components.

Q: 8. Can this be used with HS80M monitors? I've noticed that this subwoofer has a very different frequency response curve to the now discontinued HS10W subwoofer that was designed for the HS80M monitors.

A: Contacted Yamaha and they assure me that it can be used with HS80M monitors. Frequency response is different as the HS8S can go as low as 22hz (HS10W was 30hz). You just need to adjust the cross over frequency until it best complements the HS80M monitors.

Q: 9. What would happen if someone bangs into the narrow speakers while they are connected (or a child pulls it), will they crack, or will they simply pull out?

A: The three portions of the top speaker on the American Audio APX CS8 plug into each other in such a way that if the assembly were pulled, while plugged into the subwoofer, then the most damage would happen at the point where the subwoofer meets with the upper speaker.

Q: 10. With the volume set at nominal level, does the monitor pop when the power is turned on or off?

A: I have not had any hum or pop turning it on or off. I also use balanced, shielded cables when recording in the field. This monitor has worked quite well for me :)
