With a clever design that features removable components and a camera mount that puts a new spin on the concept of "ring light", the GVM LED Ring Light Soft Light 600S from GVM has six 13" LED Light Bars configured in a star-like shape connected to, but removable from, an open circular camera mount that you're meant to shoot through as you would a ring light. The 600S has a wide 120° beam spread with the bars attached, but the beauty of the design is that you can remove one or any number of them to use as a hair light or sidelight—or anywhere you like to create a sense of depth.

The 600S has a 3200 to 5600K adjustable color temperature to seamlessly blend with any ambient illumination, it's dimmable from 10 to 100%, and maintains a very high CRI/TLCI rating of 97+, your assurance of superior color rendering regardless of hue or light intensity. The 600S runs on universal 110 to 240 VAC power via its included adapter and comes with a 7.25' light stand and carry case for storage and transport.

A: According to the manufacturer, GVM states that the GVM LED Ring Light Soft Light 600S is not designed for battery power usage. The unit comes with a power adapter and a power cable designed for AC usage on 110 to 220 VAC, 50 / 60 Hz voltage. The included power adapter has a DC plug connection which plugs into the ring light, into which you would plug in the power cable to plug the setup into a standard household AC outlet. However, this DC plug connection is solely for the AC power adapter, not for DC battery power usage. The unit does include two (2) DC double-ended cables, but they are designed to connect and power two light bars from the ring light without the light bars being directly connected to the ring light. If you need to power the light fixture on location, as it is not a battery-powered light fixture, you would have to purchase a power inverter such as the Photogenic Ion Lithium-ion Pure Sine Wave Inverter System, B&H # PHION, or the Interfit Nomad Portable Battery Pack B&H # INNOM100, for your location usage needs. Both units listed above are battery-powered, but they have a built-in standard AC power outlet which allows you to power the setup on location.

I bought this Ring Light from GVM through B&H after watching a F-Stoppers review on YouTube. I was convinced it was for me. I use it mostly for Zoom Meetings and from time to time to do portrait photos. Love it! I needed service for the A/C Adapter, and GVM was quick to response and solve. Wow! great company. the biggest benefit would be rearranging the light bar to achieve the desired shape either behind the subject or in front for catchlights. The biggest negative would be when removing a light bar and attaching it separately to the power supply, it only has one brightness level. 5

I love this light ! I been using ring light for the last few year when I making my video, but I have never see a ring light looks like this. The detachable light bar is so smart and I can use for variable of set up !! The light have range of 3200- 5600 , which will meets all the setting I need for different type of video. Highly recommended it! 5

So much for the ordinary ring light, this light does the ring light part fine and then there is the ability to follow the Kelvin temperature range from very cool to warm with twist of a dial. The arms can be amputated and used as independent lights to facilitate lighting challenging setups on close-ups to models. The build is firm and connections are clean and solid. There is much to explore and I am well satisfied that this unit superseded my expectations. 5

We also have a salonspa and this light is perfect for our stylists to use for photos of their clients! Super easy to use, great spread of light, ability to control both intensity and color temperature with the added bonus of the two light arms that you can remove to use overhead if you like. Feels solid, good quality of build and it gives the coolest star shaped catch-lights!! 5

Great picture quality, high brightness color adjustability, unique 6 spoke design creates unique catchlight in the eye. No other light has this. Was on sale too. Very happy with purchase. Was skeptical about brand but it works well good quality. Includes stand too. Only wish they made battery version. 5

It could be better just because the attachments don’t adjust, but other than that it’s great. It has warm setting, cool setting, you can regulate between those settings, and it is pretty bright. I use in a big space with natural light and it makes a difference to have the light on. 5
