Styled in black, this individual XLR connector offers silver-plated contacts as well as an adjustable dual pressure plate cable clamp, a flexible strain relief, and a removable pin insert. Use this connector with cables that offer between a cable diameter of 0.21 to 0.3".

I've used Switchcraft connectors since the 60's. They updated the original Canon styling back then, and have done it again with this new model. Well made, heavy duty, smooth fitting, and unique styling are what attracted me to this series. So many XLR connectors today look pretty much the same, so it was exciting to see this one. It looks particularly good connected to my audio-Technican and Sennheiser shotguns. Good styling, nicely finished metal, a bushing that accepts a variety of cables, easy release button, spring-loaded body ground contacts for positive connection, and a good fit, all at a nice price! Switchcraft continues to make great connectors.! 5

As usual, Switchcraft is one of the better brands of XLR connectors. Its simply not worth buying the inexpensive brands because not only do they last 5 minutes, they are more difficult to solder. Buy once - cry once. 5

These are very nice XLR connectors. There are only two parts so they go together very easily. They are built from fairly thick metal so they are very hard to break or even get out of round. And finally, they look very good, they are clean and simple so if they end up in photos or video they do not draw attention to themselves. I have installed hundreds of these connecrors and have never experienced a failure of any kind. 5

These will work well for balanced line mike and unit connectors. I have decided to go with XLR rather than a 1/4 patch bay. More room for soldered wire connections in the plug. 5

I've used just about every XLR connector out there and these are the best bar none; yes, better than Neutrik. Only two pieces, very solid grounding of the shell, and a tight grip on the cable. You can hand tighten the shell, but the all metal shell also has wrench flats so you can get it really tight. The Switchcraft green insulator takes a lot of heat without melting. I have never had a problem with these mating with any other brand connector, or any microphone. They are heavier than most XLRs, but that's because of the all metal shell. Can't beat the price. 5
