Keep your shotgun audio clean with this BMP60R Pro Long Blimp Microphone Windscreen from Proaim, a complete system for shielding your microphone from wind noise without negatively affecting the audio quality. The windscreen, also known as a zeppelin, is compatible with microphones with a diameter up to 24mm and up to 22.8" in length. It features a removable extension for when you want to use more compact mics. The shockmount features a bottom support, handgrip, and interior elastic bands that help prevent vibrations from affecting the audio.

The shockmount doubles as a grip for handheld use, and it features a 3/8"-16 mounting thread on the bottom. It also includes multiple mic holders for mounts of different sizes. A built-in locking lever enables adjusting the angle of the mic relative to the handgrip while it's mounted. Two fuzzy wind covers are included for the compact and extended modes, which fit over the windshield for use on exceptionally windy days.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will this fit an Audio-Technica BP4025?

A: We cannot confirm whether the Bubblebee Industries BBI-BWB-BK Big Windbubble Windscreen for Handheld Microphones will fit over the Audio-Technica BP4025 X/Y Stereo Field Recording Microphone, but we do have a similar item from K-Tek that you can use: the K-Tek KR-50-70 Fur Windsock for Ball-Type Handheld Microphones (B&H # KTKR5070).

Q: 2. Hi. Will this fit on the ZOOM iQ7?Thank you.

A: No.

Q: 3. Does this fit both the original and the current version of the Rode blimp?

A: Yes, the RODE Long Shotgun Blimp Extension Kit is compatible with both versions of the Rode Blimp.

Q: 4. Can it be connected to rodecaster duo via wireless connection?

A: The RODE TX-M2 Handheld Wireless Microphone can only be wirelessly connected to RodeLink wireless mic receivers (Rode RX-CAM). That is how you would establish a wireless connection, and then the receiver can be physically connected to an audio interface such as the RodeCaster Duo.

Q: 5. what are the red plastic rings for?

A: The red rigid bands that are included with the Rode Long Shotgun Blimp Extension Kit are for use with shotgun microphones that have a narrow diameter (less than 22mm). The bands help to provide a more secure fit in the lyre clips for the shock mount.

Q: 6. Will this mic link with the Rode Wireless Go receiver?

A: Hello Larry. No, the RodeLink systems only work inside the RodeLink product line. The Wireless Go system only works as its own set currently. The TX-M2 will work perfectly with the Rode RX-Cam however.

Q: 7. Can this work with an cable or doesnit need to be wireless?

A: The MZS 60-1 does support cabled use when used with the required MZS 20-1 grip/mount. You can also purchase both items as a kit.

Q: 8. Is the included RF cable shielded? Some of the other Rycote Super-Shield systems list that the XLR cable is, but this one doesn't say.

A: Although Rycote does not divulge this level of specification for the cables used in the Rycote Super-Blimp NTG5 Windshield Kit for Rode NTG5 Microphone, most of their cable sourcing comes from Mogami and should most likely be well shielded.

Q: 9. Can the presenter move around a little bit from the microphone and still get good quality recording to the camera?

A: This mic must be used with Rode's RX-CAM recorder. For quality pickup, the presenter does need to be consistently speaking within 3-6 inches of the microphone. Beyond that, it will be hard to hear the presenter.

Q: 10. do i need to get a receiver separately for this or it comes with one?

A: The RODE Interview PRO Wireless Handheld Condenser Microphone is compatible for use with the RODE Series IV 2.4 GHz Receiver, which is included with the RODE Wireless GO II, RODE Wireless ME, and RODE Wireless PRO Wireless Microphone Systems. The Interview PRO Microphone is sold as an optional add-on accessory for use with any of these systems.
