The Dual Cold Shoe Ball Head from Ulanzi is designed to be mounted on a tripod or monopod and features a 360° rotatable base with a single knob for fast adjustment. Top and side shoe mounts allow for the attachment of photo and video accessories, and the top shoe mount can be removed for directly connecting the ball head to a camera. The unit also supports vertical positioning and shooting, and a large area of anti-skid silicone prevents cameras and accessories from slipping while mounted on the plate.

As another reviewer stated. You will need a 1/4 “to 3/4” adapter for this to be compatible with the Ploty-pod (all models) . This was difficult to locate, requiring a trip to a specialty hardware store for an adapter. Not easy to find one either. The ball head works perfectly after the modification. 5

I've purchased this along with other Ulanzi gadgets, and it is good quality for its price. A simple locking mechanism to reduce risk of equipment falling off at certain angles. The side cold shoe mount is nice for a small LED light, like the Ulanzi VL-49 for example, or perhaps a microphone. Very happy with this, using it to hold a fullHD consumer video camera as part of my home office setup. 5

I use this ballhead on top of a Leofoto MT-03. This is my tiny travel tripod I use on the ground or on a table or a rock, when hiking. It's small and does not weigh a ton. I put a A7 IV with a 24 mm lense on it and when the legs are in the wider position I have no issues with the set up being to heavy. This might not be the correct solution with a long and heavy zoom lense. For my purpose, it's perfect. 5

Just what the doctor ordered to align and frame constellations such as Leo, Gemini and Orion when they are at a particular angle in the night sky. Supports my DSLR rig of about eight pounds securely and I trust it. It's quick, simple and to the point. And it doesn't get any better than that. 5
