The black Countryman E6 Directional Earset Mic, Standard Gain with Detachable 1mm Cable and TA4F Connector for Paso Wireless Transmitters is a vocal microphone with an adjustable boom that weighs less than one tenth of an ounce and is designed to be used by only one person. Once adjusted, it will continually hold this shape.

The E6 earset can be used on either ear for capturing audio and rejecting unwanted sound, feedback, or surrounding noise from stage monitors or nearby speakers in houses of worship, theater, and outdoor vocal and speech applications.

The low-profile, directional E6 earset virtually disappears against the skin, so performers will forget they're wearing a mic. This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as presentations or sermons. Additionally, the earset comes with two pattern-changeable protective caps for maximum isolation and gain before feedback. This directional E6 earset's cable terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Paso MW223 wireless bodypack transmitters.

The Countryman earsets are very small, lightweight, and the least visible headworn microphones.

The classic E6 is a good choice when one person will wear the microphone. Because the boom is stiffer, it can be adjusted to fit, then stored away and quickly reworn.

The E6's stainless steel boom is tough and can be bent and re-bent to fit different performers. It is highly resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps. The earset should always have a protective cap in place to keep sweat, makeup, and other foreign material out of the microphone.

The E6 earset's flexible boom is easily shaped right on the performer's face. Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The directional earset protective caps adjust the pattern from cardioid to hypercardioid.

Easy adjustment keeps the mic in a comfortable position for rejecting unwanted sounds. The directional E6 earset provides more isolation and is suitable for situations where there are loud monitors, extreme feedback, or environmental noise.

The included removable, quick-swap cable detaches from the actual earset, making it completely replaceable in the event of a short or break. The replaceable cable design makes upgrading wireless microphone systems easy as they are available in a wide selection of connections to accommodate most wireless transmitters.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. WILL THIS STRAP HOLD A LEICA M AND LENS?

A: I would say yes. It holds my Fuji XT1 with a 35mm (50mm equiv) lens just fine. I did use the thicker mounting straps (the ones that tie to the camera) instead of the thinner string type. Just a personal preference. I'm believe that both types of mounting straps are rated strong enough to my set up but the thicker ones just gi me feels bit more confident. The strap is nice too. Not too thick, yet not too skinny either. A comfortable fit for me. Enough length to carry it long or short (I'm 6 ft tall).

Q: 2. What is the output voltage of this adapter ? My 5DM3 can only take 8.0V DC instead of the 9.0V DC of the R5 mentioned in another question.

A: The output voltage is 8V as per the manufacturer.

Q: 3. Can this system be used on a Windows laptop?

A: Yes, the Ulanzi J12 2-Person Wireless Microphone System with USB-C Connector can be used with a Windows laptop computer.

Q: 4. I have a Fuji XT-10 camera with 18-135mm lens. With this lens, it is not what I consider to be lightweight. The strap included with the camera is 3/4 wide, seems a bit too narrow. Am considering the DSPTCH standard strap, 1/4 wider seems like it might be just right. Any thoughts on this?

A: I have a Canon 80D with an 18-55 kit lens. Although the camera came with a wider strap, I'm much happier with the DSPTCH standard strap; it's strong, but not bulky. I purchased the (Black Camo) design. It comes with two attachments, one set for lighter equipment and one set for heavier equipment. Hope this helps in your decision.

Q: 5. The Canon EOS R5 C is listed as a compatible camera. Does this adapter supply the correct current and voltage to enable the use of the recording modes requiring a power source other than the standard Canon LP-E6NH battery (e.g. 8K RAW at 60p)?

A: The Anton Bauer Regulated P-Tap to LP-E6 Dummy Battery Cable (20") (B&H# ANPCRDLEB) is indeed for any current (as of April 2022) camera that accepts the Canon LP-E6, LP-E6N, or LP-E6NH battery for power. That includes the Canon EOS R5 C Mirrorless Cinema Camera (B&H# CAER5C). However, as you have noted, the R5 C requires an additional power in order to shoot video in some modes. That electricity (which must be high power and typically PD-compliant) must be provided through the USB C port. Since this cable connects to the battery chamber (rather than to the USB C port) it will not provide any power there at all and therefore cannot enable high power shooting modes.

Q: 6. Can headphones be attached or can we use earbuds/bluetooth to hear audio in, in real time?

A: The Ulanzi J12 2-Person Wireless Microphone System with Lightning Connector for iOS Devices does not offer a wired output connection for headphones, however, it may be possible to use Bluetooth headphones. Keep in mind that Bluetooth audio can have a slight delay, so it is typically not recommended to use Bluetooth headphones for monitoring audio while recording.

Q: 7. Any issues with the canon r5?

A: According to GyroVu, the USB to Canon LP-E6 intelligent dummy battery does not have compatibility issues with the Canon EOS R5/R6 cameras.

Q: 8. I purchased this adapter to power my Canon 7D for astrophotography. I use a Jackery Battery with a USB-A (5v, 2.4 a) port. My camera will not even turn on with this power. I then powered up my ASIAIR Plus which draws 12 volts and provides more amperage to its USB ports. The camera will turn on but recycles when I try to take an image and does not save the image to the card. The ASIAIR also has usb3 ports can I use one of these to get more power?

A: Although this product is mainly used with a USB to AC plug adapter when connected to an AC outlet, the manufacturer recommends the GyroVu High Capacity 30,000mAh Power Bank, BH# GYGVPB301. https://bhpho.to/3pOgFJV

Q: 9. Does this work with Canon Mark IV

A: Yes it should. The 5D Mark IV uses the LP-E6 battery system, which is the kind of dummy battery this cable has.

Q: 10. Will this power the Canon R5C’s 8K RAW 60fps standard via a gold mount battery? Not all dummy battery to ptap cables will.

A: No, the Canon EOS R5C's 8k RAW 60p capabilities require a USB-C PD power source of 65w or more.
