A: yes, it does come with a stand if you buy the kit,i do think you can buy each part separate i have to say though, i don't love these lights, i haven't ignored the instructions and used incandescent bulbs in place of the compact flors, but i find that they don't put out much light, and even if you put multiple bulbs in the stand is too flimsy to accommodate the additional weight....

This was part of a light kit I order. Once you figure out how to put it together, which did not take long, you can assembly it in about 2 minutes or less. This softbox combined with the light fixture finally gave me even lighting with allowed me to get rid of the hot spots off my face. I use this kit to light up my office as a film my sermons. 5

I use two soft boxes for portrait photos. It works well. I struggled assembling the first unit but the second unit went together quicker and with little effort. 5

product was easy to put together and travel with! I had no problems figuring it out. One thing to remember is to position/align front of soft box with a leg to help with tipping. Lighting was really useful for the event photography I completed- I was happy with the pictures- could have used a 3rd light to help with some shadowing but I am satisfied with the product for the price. 5

2 of 3 of a kit. Great and compact, very light. The only down side to this is that it is alittle time consuming to build up and tear down. 5

Soild build.. The main things to note are that the soft box cannot go on while the bulbs are in place and I could see the support poles being hard to get into place if you weren't very strong. All in all good for the price. 5
