Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is this compatible with the Zoom F4?

A: This 4-pin Hirose connector is compatible with the DC power option on the Zoom F4 digital audio recorder.

Q: 2. Would this work with a Comstar Flex system as a plug in?

A: I couldn't say for that exact system but having owned this product for a good few months now and with many different systems, I have found that on wireless systems everyone else on the network tells me I am very very quiet compared to wearing a generic headset - I believe this can be fixed by turning up the gain on the pack, but not all packs seem ti have this control. Wired systems I have never had any problems with.I have tried to contact eartec about this with no success as of yet.

Q: 3. Can I attach this end on to the Sennheiser DC 2 BH #SEDC2 to be plugged into the BH #BECOCO15VA to be powered off a v-mount battery?

A: This connector can be soldered on to the bare wire end of the cable on the Sennheiser DC 2 and the be connected to the Bebob Factory GmbH COCO-15V III V-Mount Battery Plate.

Q: 4. Is this cable 75ohm?

A: The Comprehensive EXF series 3-pin XLR male to RCA male cable is not 75-ohms. Depending on your application, a simple cable may not suffice. You may need a format converter.

Q: 5. what is the max. dia. of cable that goes into this plug?

A: The outside diameter of cable used with the Amphenol AC Series RCA Male Cable Connector with Diecast Shell (White) (B&H# AMACPRWHT) should be less than 1/4" (i.e. 6mm).

Q: 6. How is the connection from XLR (+, -, gnd) to RCA which has 2 pin like? Do you have XLR to 2 RCA?

A: 3-pin XLR is a mono connector only, so there would be no benefit to an XLR to dual RCA adapter cable. When you adapt XLR to an unbalanced connection such as RCA or TS, pin 3 is discarded and the signal becomes unbalanced (Hot and Ground only).

Q: 7. I was trying to do something that I think can not be done with what I have. This cable is not meant to go from a XRL mic needing phantom power to RCA correct?

A: you cannot use this with a phantom powered mic unless the mic is a self powered model containing a battery

Q: 8. How is this wired? Does it have resistor to passively Sum the L & R Channels to the XLR? or L & R channels directly summed together without any isolation?

A: This particular cable is a mono ts connection on the 3.5mm connector. It would only see the L channel of a stereo signal. There are no resistors in this cable.

Q: 9. What is the cable exit diameter?

A: The manufacturer does not specify the exit diameter.

Q: 10. Is this compatible with MixPre-10 II?

A: Yes, it is compatible for use with the MixPre-10 II.
