This 25-sheet pack of 11 x 17" Hemp FineArt InkJet Paper from Hahnemuhle offers a new and unique option for fine-art photographers. Featuring a 290 gsm basis weight, 60% of this paper is made from hemp fibers. The base material has a bright white natural tone, and thanks to the bright white color of the hemp fibers, optical brighteners are not needed. A lightly textured surface gives the paper a silky feel, and the paper provides deep blacks with contrast that stands out with eye-catching effect. Compatible with pigment and dye inkjet systems, the acid- and lignin-free paper has a high age resistance, which makes it well-suited for long-lasting prints in galleries, exhibitions, and museums.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I have a Canon Pro 10 and would naturally like to know how well this paper works with pigments?

A: You should have no problems with this paper on your Cannon Pro 10. It's now my preferred paper for enlarged prints for framing, using my Epson Stylus Pro 4800. Moab discontinued their Colorado Satine paper, and this paper proved to be the closes match with the Hahnemuhle being a little thicker @ 300 gsm. Being a Baryta paper, it still retains a very clean white base compared to other brands that I tested with 8.5X11 sheets. Compared to the Moab, side by side, it has just a very slight Baryta (warm tone) tint. Moab's Juniper Baryta Rag (305 gsm) is their new paper that replaced the Colorado, didn't cut it. It's to warm and has a sheen and texture that not normal for a Semi Gloss/Satine surface. Long story short, setup the paper profile, color calibrate your monitor, and test before printing larger sizes. You'll like this paper.

Q: 2. Are the papers labeled so you know which is which?

A: The papers in the Hahnemuhle Glossy Sample Pack FineArt Assortment (8.5 x 11", 16 Sheets) are labeled so you know which one's you prefer best for future ordering.

Q: 3. Can this canvas be stretched? How does it co,pare to the Hahnemuhle Daguerre canvas?

A: Yes, this canvas can be stretched. Both are great canvas sheets, but I found the Hahnemuhle Daguerre canvas to be a better over all paper.

Q: 4. Will color images on this warm tone paper be biased towards yellow?

A: The Hahnemuhle Matt Fibre Duo 210 Inkjet Photo Paper has a warm, almost cream like color.

Q: 5. What is the weight and texture of this paper?

A: The weight of the Canson Infinity ARCHES 88 is 310gsm (Grams per Square Meter). The paper is made out of 100% cotton. The surface feel is matte and finish is extra smooth.

Q: 6. what printer do you recommend for this paper?

A: A high quality inkjet photo printer i.e. Epson P700/900 & above, Canon Pro 10/100/1000/300 & above.

Q: 7. Does this roll paper have much 'curl' to it? Some of the heavier papers are almost unusable when I get near the end of the roll (Epson 4880). Thanks.

A: Yes, the Hahnemühle FineArt Baryta Satin Paper (17" x 39' Roll) BH #HAFABS31017 has "curl".

Q: 8. The samples are lumped together without identification. How are you supposed to know which paper is which?

A: Each sheet of paper has a stamp on the back indicating the paper type. I know this is the case by the 8.5 x 11 & I assume the same is by the 13 x 19.

Q: 9. How accurate is the white and is there a color shift regardless of printer?

A: The Photo Luster 290 Inkjet is 110% white and the image will fade over time, unless using a glaze that rejects UV light.

Q: 10. Where do I find the ICC Profile for this paper? I have an iMac and an Epson R2880

A: You can find the ICC profiles on Hahnemuhle's website at this link:http://www.hahnemuehle.com/en/digital-fineart/icc-profiles.htmlThere is a drop down menu that allows you to select your printer brand, model and the paper type. Once you have selected your printer and paper, you will be able to download the profiles.

I didn't think I would love the cooler tones as much as I do but it is absolutely perfect for black and white!
