Q: 1. Does this also come with 1 Seat in MakerBot Certification™ for Educators and 5 Seats in MakerBot Certification™ for Students?

A: Yes, 1 seat for educators and 5 seats for students is included.

Q: 2. Does this lens work fully with Nikon film cameras such as the FM3a? Meaning, does it only work in stop-down mode or does it allow full operation wide open and then close down to the set aperture at the moment of exposure?

A: The following lens will adapt to all Nikon F-Mount Lens/FX Format As well the manual aperture ring can be de-clicked.

Q: 3. Can I use LEE Filters Foundation Kit with the LEE Filters Adapter Ring 95mm for Foundation Kit. Has it vignetting? Thank you.

A: You cannot use the Foundation Kit (100mm filters). It's too small for such a wide angle lens. The LEE SW150 II (150mm filters) system works perfectly. I use the SW150 II filter holder and 95mm screw-in style adapter ring (sold separately) with this lens. It works perfectly. There is no vignetting at all. I use 150mm NiSi filters with this system. They fit fine, and the filters are of higher quality. The downside of such a large filter system is the high price and the amount of space they take up. The image quality you can get out of them with this lens though is unparalleled. Hope that helps.

Q: 4. There is a claim that Milvus 1.4/50 ZE does not show a focus shift - an interdependence of the focal plane and the aperture - which would be a major improvement compared to the old Planar T* 1.4/50. Can somebody comment, please?

A: Yes, it is true. i have the old version and upgrade to this one and very happy with my decision!if you are ok with manual focus then you will be very happy with the image quality.

Q: 5. how much height and width does this add to an arca rail when attached?

A: The dimensions for the Nodal Ninja Arca-Type Stop Plate are 44mm x 9.5mm x 6mm.

Q: 6. How does this lens perform wide open for astrophotography?

A: You can judge the performance of the Milvus 1.4/25 lens by reviewing the MTF chart in the data sheet. ZEISS provides the performance at wide open and stopped down, so you can compare the results to determine both the sharpness at f/1.4 and at f/4. The lens performs very well at wide-open and would be well suited for astrophotography. The data sheet is available at: a href= https://www.zeiss.com/content/dam/camera-lenses/files/service/download-center/datasheets/milvus-lenses/datasheet-zeiss-milvus-1425.pdf target= _blank https://www.zeiss.com/content/dam/camera-lenses/files/service/download-center/datasheets/milvus-lenses/datasheet-zeiss-milvus-1425.pdf/a

Q: 7. what is the warranty period on this product?

A: This product is covered by a 6-month MakerBot warranty.

Q: 8. how would this lens do with the Canon C70 cinema camera? i realise that it is manual focus but then so are most cinema lenses

A: The ZEISS Milvus 25mm f/1.4 ZE Lens for Canon EF will be compatible with the Canon Mount Adapter EF-EOS R on the Canon EOS C70 Cinema Camera (RF Mount), and it offers excellent results.

Q: 9. How does this Milvus 21mm compare to the Contax Zeiss 21mm? Trying to decide if I want to buy the Milvus or buy the Contax Zeiss 21mm.

A: Other than the focal length similarity, both lenses are nearly the same size and weight, with a minimum focus distance of 3' (0.9 m). The depth of field scale and aperture setting can only be read from the front of the Biogon lens. Both lenses render beautifully, while the Biogon lens seems to have higher contrast, and the Contax has somewhat better resolution, and less contrast. The results with either lens are outstanding and mostly matter of personal choice.

Q: 10. would this lens have focus conformation on the canon 5DS?

A: Confirmation. Yes. The focus points will light up when in focus.
