Designed and produced in partnership with Astronomik of Germany with the tight tolerances and exacting standards that both companies are known for, the 2" Tele Vue Bandmate Oxygen-III Filter passes light from doubly ionized oxygen atoms. As such, it is great for viewing planetary nebulae and supernovae remnants. The filter bandpass is centered on the 500nm wavelength with a greater than 96% throughput transmission. It is effective for viewing objects that take up the entire field of view—even when using Tele Vue's wide-angle eyepieces. This version of the O-III filter is set in a 2" aluminum ring to enable its use with larger eyepieces and accessories.

Q: 1. Does this kit include a star diagonal or is that included?

A: No, a star diagonal is not included, a non issue with me as I already had two of them.

Q: 2. How does this work with the Meade LX 600 12”? Would it be too much? I would like to do planetary photography with either a Nikon D750 or a Nikon Z6. Thanks

A: This would work with the LX600,but might be very dark/distorted. You can definitely try it with the Scope. The View just might be a little grainy due to the high magnification.

Q: 3. Does 4X powermate, 2 , fits in to SCT rear cell adopter(2 ) or directly in to SCT rear cell(I have 8 SCT). In other words how do I hook up this 2 powermate to rear of 8 SCT.Second Question: I have a cannon DSLR with T ring and 2 adopter. Does this works with this?.

A: 1) The bare end of the 4x Powermate barrel does slide into the 2 adapter that screws onto the SCT rear cell. You'll need to make sure the 4x Powermate is firmly secured into the 2 adapter since the 4x Powemate is a bit heavy (especially with the camera attached!).2) No, the camera cannot be attached to the 4x Powermate by simply using a 2 adapter and Canon T-Ring.To place an SLR camera onto the 4x Powermate (unfortunately) another adapter is necessary, which is the TeleVue 4x Powermate T-Ring.The 4x Powermate has to be partially disassembled then the Televue 4x Powermate T-Ring gets screwed onto the 4x Powermate. Then, the Canon T-Ring is screwed onto the 4x Powermate T-Ring. Then the camera can be attached to the Canon T-Ring.

Q: 4. Will this filter work with the Celestron Regal M2 80ED Sporting Scope? Will this filter bring any improvement?

A: The Celestron Oxygen III Narrowband Nebula Filter (1.25") BH #CEO3F • MFR #93623 will work on the Celestron Regal M2 80ED Spotting Scope with 20-60x Eyepiece (Angled Viewing) BH #CERM280EDSS • MFR #52305 The 1.25" Oxygen III Narrowband Filter from Celestron yields high transmissivity by blocking unwanted longer wavelengths of light, giving higher contrast to your observation and photographic experiences. By isolating just the two 496 & 501nm doubly-ionized oxygen lines emitted by planetary and emission nebulae, while blocking the rest of the overall spectrum of light. The result is extreme contrast between the black sky background and the faint photons of OIII light needed for detailed views of the Veil, Ring, Dumbbell, Crescent and Orion nebulae among other objects.
