A: On the boom pole at the top there should be a male threaded piece. If you turn the Rode Video Mic upside down and look in the bottom of the shoe mount you will see a hole. A: Hello Romel, The VideoMic is a super-cardioid microphone, which means it would cancel some from the side. However, I would recommend turning auto-focus off on any video applications or simply separate the microphone from the camera by using a boom pole if the auto-focus is too loud.
