I've used this ink and paper with the Canon cp900 and I know it works with the previous and next editions of the Selphy, but you should do more research before buying this for your cp1200. BTW--it works really well with the cp900, beautiful prints

This ink and label set for the SELPHY make great adhesive photos. The resolution and colors always look great. The adhesive really works, too. These add a lot to journals, letters and other projects. 5

These print like small polaroids but the color is much better and image much clearer. They have a sticky back so you can stick them where you want. I have only stuck them to paper so can't speak to other surfaces. I would also imagine you don't have to peel the sticky back and could just use it as a standard printed pic. You can write on the bottom but certain pens don't work. My advice is to stick with a felt tip type pen. There has been some smearing with certain inks. I think an extra fine point sharpie might be the best option but I haven't tried that yet. 5

The new QX10 is a fun printer. The per print cost is a little high but is offset by the fun experience I feel. Have the CP1300 from Canon also and love it. The new QX10 is just a fun size to have with great results. 5
