First the staff at B&H are the best. I told them the problem and they suggested the product. But better yet, it was simple and worked flawlessly. Could not ask for better service, a great product and a solution that was not only the most cost effective but also the least complicated. Would recommend to a friend or anyone needing to put a network connection were one does not exist. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER.

The TP-Link AV600 Powerline Adapter is a little jewel for extending a wired Internet connection. Simply plug one unit into an AC wall outlet near a router and the other unit into an AC wall outlet in the area where one wants a wired Internet connection. Then, connect the unit by the router to the router with an Ethernet cable. Next, connect the other Powerline adapter to the device, e.g. computer, with another Ethernet cable. Now, one has a wired connection to the router. It works seamlessly by using the electrical wiring in one's building.

Fast networking, easy installation. Highly recommended. The built-in outlet simplifies finding a place. You have to use Windows if you want to create your own password, but it's way easier to use the self-generating password. Only drawback is that you have to push the password reset button on all units within a couple of minutes. I'm not sure how secure it is, but it has to be more secure than wifi.It occasionally glitches for no apparent reason, but that's still way better than our wifi.speedtest.net says that I'm getting 12Mps down/5Mbps up, with around a 15ms ping time.
