This 1- to 8.6-stop, 37mm Blue Multi-Coated Variable ND Filter from K&F Concept is a variable neutral density filter providing an adjustable light reduction of 1 to 8.6 stops. It darkens the entire image evenly, allowing a photograph to be made with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed without overexposing your image. By slowing the exposure time or increasing the aperture, it is possible to control the depth of field and blur movement easily, creating a dynamic look for streams, waterfalls, landscapes, and more. This multi-coated variable neutral density filter does not affect the coloration of the image. The filter's slim design reduces possible vignetting on wide-angle lenses.

Q: 2. Is it best to put this VND on before or after a mist filter?

A: It generally does not matter if you put the K&F Concept Variable Fader ND2-ND400 Filter (82mm) on before or after a mist filter, it can come down to preference.

Q: 3. I think I have seen some VND's have a total size larger than its threading part, which ends up blocking the ability to mount a lens hood. Does the size of this filter prevent the mounting of a lens hood?

A: You will be able to mount the lens hood with the K&F Concept Variable Fader ND2-ND400 Filter on the lens.

Q: 4. Will this work with the Sony A7SIII?

A: This filter will work with any lens with a 67mm thread.

Q: 5. Could I use a 62mm cap?

Q: 6. Is this filter suitable for solar eclipses?

A: No, the K&F Concept ND2-ND400 Blue Multi-Coated Variable ND Filter would not be suitable for solar eclipses. Q: 9. I just bought this filter and I experience something weird. When I turn it over the darker ND dot, the filter seems to go even darker and the photo look like a IR shot (all purple). Yesterday I set the filter at his darker point. I took a photo : f.14, 2.5s, iso 100. Then I turn further the filter and it became darker. So I change the time and I hand to go further as 60sec to get proper expose photo.. but in the viewfinder, it was all purple. Is that normal? I use it on Olympus em10II and 14-42 kit lens

A: The K&F Concept ND2-ND400 Blue Multi-Coated Variable ND Filter (58mm) is only rated to perform properly till 8.6 stops. Going beyond the specified maximum may degrade image quality. Additionally with higher levels of light reduction one runs the risk of IR pollution in the image. As you reduce visible light you are more suspect to this pollution, which could be why you are seeing the strange colors.

Q: 10. Where is this filter made?

A: As per our records, this filter is made in China. Please note that this is subject to change at any time.

Best ROI. Slight green tint but nothing that can't be fixed with slight adjustment in post. Budget friendly!

I notice no color shifting, these feel premium but are priced very well, I've bought multiple and each one is consistent in look. They work perfectly and exactly as described.

I bought this to use with my new NOKTON 60mm f/.95. Even when shooting with wide-open aperture in midday lighting, this filter provided me all the stops I needed to maintain proper exposure while preserving detail and sharpness. The rotation is silky smooth, and responsive to small adjustments.

My only complaint is the filter makes it a little difficult to keep the lens cap on, but this could be a issue with the lens cap, not the filter.

I haven't had a chance to use this yet, but it came on time in perfect condition and fits the camera. I've used a different size K&F fader on a different camera and was very pleased. That's why I was ready to order this one for my new camera.

I have been using the K&F filters for all my lenses.
I had 3 before for my Canon m50 so When I bought my Sony, this was a no-brainer.
For a run and gun shooter, you do not have time to keep changing fixed filters to attack the light.

I've been wondering if there was a way that I could just bring one ND filter for all shooting situations. It never would have happen up until now. This filter saves my day and money too. Not only that it's handy to use, I can basically leave it on my lens and forget about it. When it's time to shoot all I need to do is rotate the front bezel to fit the kind of lighting suitable for my needs. Very simple and it's very affordable too. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this filter to any photographer out there. I'd say buy it!
