Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this be used on a Nikon D5200?

A: D5200 is using EN-EL14. This EL-15 is not for D5200.

Q: 2. Is this voltage regulated? To what voltage?

A: The ANDYCINE D-Tap to Nikon EN-EL15 Dummy Battery Cable would regulate the output of a standard battery DTap to the power requirements of any camera that works with the Nikon EN-EL15 battery.

Q: 3. Can I power my Nikon D850 from an Andycine C7 using this adapter?

A: The correct cable for Andycine C7 would be https://bhpho.to/3NJcLv8

Q: 4. Can I use this with my Nikon D810?

A: This dummy pack will work with the Nikon D810.

Q: 5. I just purchased two (2) ANDYCINE 35-LED Mini On-Camera Lights (Nikon EN-EL15). But neither of them have 4-step dimming as listed in the description. Did I get defected ones? I had them plugged into a wall outlet in case that makes a difference since I don't have Nikon EN-EL15 batteries.

A: Four step should be inherent to the light fixture regardless of the type of power device being used for powering the unit. There may be a product defect if these four step options are not accessible.

Q: 6. Can I power my Nikon D850 from my Andycine C7 using this adapter?

A: Unfortunately, there is an incompatibility with voltage acceptance between the SmallRig EN-EL15 Dummy Battery requesting 7.4 volts and the ANDYCINE C7 7" HDMI Ultrabright Touchscreen Monitor with 3D LUTs, Waveform & L-Series Plate providing 8.4 volts when sending power out to the Nikon D850 DSLR Camera.

Q: 7. What is the minimal output voltage required by a portable power bank for this to work properly? Because 5 volt is not enough

A: The ZILR USB Type-C to Nikon EN-EL15 Dummy Battery Cable is designed for use with the ZiLR USB-C 970 battery which outputs PD power. We suggest working with a 20w or more PD USB power supply. USB Output 5 V, 3 A 9 V, 2 A 12 V, 1.5 A 15 V, 1.2 A 20 V, 0.9 A ZILR 74.37Wh L-Series/NP-F970 Lithium-Ion Battery with USB Type-C PD Output BH #ZIZRNPB01

Q: 8. Is this compatible with a Nikon D850?

A: Yes The AndyCine EN-EL15 Dummy Battery Adapter cable is compatible with your Nikon D850 camera. Q: 9. Will this work with the Nikon Z6, and Z6ii?

Q: 10. Does this only include the connection to the camera and not the 3 pin connector to the battery?

A: This includes what you see.

I had a small LED with an internal battery that I kept in my bag for those random times when you just need a little something, but I needed it so rarely the battery would also be drained when I needed it.

This is so much better for me. Since it uses camera batteries, I'll always have some of those charged, when I might have forgotten to charge my old light.

Add to that that it's also a charger for my camera batteries and I'll save a little space in my bag. And it's like $25? Yeah, absolutely worth it.

Andycine if you're listening and want to make a v2 that goes from 10/10 to 11/10, make one that does all this AND uses the camera battery as a phone charger/power bank.

It's small enough to just toss in a bag, uses a spare battery from my camera, and has pretty good CRI and even illumination. It's not going to light up a whole room but it's great for close range stuff, especially tabletop macro.

Small, lightweight, bright, dimmable light with three brightness settings that also serves as a battery charger. I wish it had a filter holder for putting gels and diffusion in front of it since it’s only daylight color temperature. 1/4” screw hole makes it compatible with articulating arms or a simple cold shoe mount. The price and small size makes it worth while just as a travel battery charger.
