This 1- to 8.6-stop, 67mm Blue Multi-Coated Variable ND Filter from K&F Concept is a variable neutral density filter providing an adjustable light reduction of 1 to 8.6 stops. It darkens the entire image evenly, allowing a photograph to be made with a wider aperture or slower shutter speed without overexposing your image. By slowing the exposure time or increasing the aperture, it is possible to control the depth of field and blur movement easily, creating a dynamic look for streams, waterfalls, landscapes, and more. This multi-coated variable neutral density filter does not affect the coloration of the image. The filter's slim design reduces possible vignetting on wide-angle lenses.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can you please confirm this will fit on the Tamron 17-28 f/2.8 Di III RXD lens. Will the 72mm front thread accept a 2nd filter?

A: The Tamron 17-28mm f/2.8 Di III RXD Lens for Sony E has 67mm front focus threads. As such, the K&F Concept Variable Fader ND2-ND400 Filter (67mm) would be compatible to fit the front filter threads on the Tamron 17-28mm lens. A 72mm filter would not directly fit on the front of the Tamron 17-28mm lens without the use of a step-up ring such as the Sensei 67-72mm Aluminum Step-Up Ring, B&H # SESUR6772.

Q: 2. Doesn't the blue coating affect the hue of the picture? Is there a blue tint?

A: The blue coating on this filter has no negative effects in terms of the hue in your images.

Q: 3. Will my lens cap fit on this filter? The lens is a Lumix 12-35 micro 4/3.

A: The front thread for this K&F Concept Variable Fader ND2-ND400 Filter (58mm) would actually be 62mm, so your current cap will not fit.

Q: 4. Will this work with the Sony A7SIII?

A: This filter will work with any lens with a 67mm thread.

Q: 5. Does anyone know the difference between all the series of ND filters from K&F concepts (ie, nano, B-series, C-series, etc)??

A: The K&F Concept Nano X-Pro Variable filters features double-sided multi-coating and advanced Nano-coating that effectively minimizes reflections and improved image clarity. These are considered the top of their line. The K&F Concept B-Series filters features 8 layers of coating with good optical quality that is suitable for most photography needs. The K&F Concept C-Series are the base level filters with double-sided multilayer blue coating.

Q: 6. Where is this filter made?

A: As per our records, this filter is made in China. Please note that this is subject to change at any time.

Q: 7. What size slip-on cap fits the 77mm size? Spec says front is 82mm; only push on is Kaiser 82 & people say it it's not a 82mm.

A: We check the K&F Concept Variable Fader ND2-ND400 Filter (77mm) in the store and it has 82mm front threads. So you can use an 82mm front clip on filter such as this: https://bhpho.to/4aMTVOT

Q: 8. Do they have any noticeable color shifts?

A: We have not had reports of any noticeable color shifts when using the K&F Concept Variable Fader ND2-ND400 Filter.

Q: 9. What size lens cap fits this?

A: Unfortunately, the K&F Concept Variable Fader ND2-ND400 Filter (72mm) does not have front filter threads and is not designed for use with threaded lens caps.

Q: 10. Does it work in continuous autofocus mode of sony cameras with the Sony FE 28 mm f/2 Lens?

A: If the filter is set to the darker end, that may interfere with the continuous autofocus.
