The white B2D Directional Lavalier Mic, Medium Gain, with Hardwired cH-Style 4-Pin Connector Cable for Audio Technica Wireless Transmitters from Countryman features a lightweight 0.18-ounce body that was designed to be discreetly mounted and can be used for miking news anchors, actors in a film or theater setting, lecturers in a school or house of worship type environment.

The B2D's tight hypercardioid pattern gives the mic an extra 6-10 dB of headroom compared to an omnidirectional lavalier mic, which means less problems with feedback, ambient noise, room rumble, and phase cancellations when using multiple microphones.

This version offers medium gain for very loud speaking, such as in theater performances and most vocals. In addition, the B2D lavalier is equipped with a hardwired cable that terminates to a cH-style 4-pin connector for direct connection to Audio Technica ATW-3201 wireless bodypack transmitters.

With its small size and sensitivity options, the B2D can easily hide behind a shirt button. This makes it invisible for film work, theater, live shows, or any other application.

Natural vocal reproduction and a tight polar pattern make the B2D ideal for broadcast and is a dependable workhorse you can count on to perform night after night.

The isolation clips minimize clothing and vibration noise while allowing 360° of rotation for easy positioning of the microphone.

This microphone is tuned to a frequency response that is natural and intelligible at a wide range of distances from the mouth. It delivers wonderful sound quality on the chest (8-10" from the mouth) or towards the collar (3-4").

Medium (red band, -10 dB re W4) for Loud vocals

Headphones arrived before I was expecting them. The fit is a bit tight... I'm guessing that will loosen up over time and use. The first thing I noticed was that the bass notes were super-sized. It grabbed and exited my attention immediately. The overall sound jumps out at you in ways that one would expect from a far more expensive set of phones. Best money I ever spent. I've already recommended the purchase of them to two friends. My sons have asked me three times if they could borrow them. I may make my money back if that continues...

I had the previous model with the hard wired cable for years until they just fell apart from old age and abuse! I love the sound on these and the only thing I will say is that my ears can't handle wearing them for too long...they get warm...my ears that is! Otherwise they are great!

Pros. - Construction is solid - Sound quality is amazing - The three cables included make it extremely handy if one cable brakes - Cushion on earphones rivals that of the Bose AE2 Cons. A bit big (I have a small head)

I searched for months for headphones that were all about the audio. No fancy materials, no phone compatibility, no gimmicks. I wanted all my money to go for sound quality. My headphone use is purely home studio. I do not travel with them and I don't use them with portable devices. These are exactly what I was looking for and cost 3 times less than I would have been willing to pay for a set of studio headphones. The materials may be budget no metals, woods or leathers but the quality is top notch. The only drawback I can see would be that they could be too bulky for portable use, no smartphone controls, and no noise canceling. For my use these are all bonuses as it keeps the cost down and focused on the sound quality and makes for a greater value. I listen to a wide variety of music and these produce them all beautifully at any volume. I would recommend these to anyone who is looking for high end sound at a great value.

I have tried and or owned many headphones and the ATH 50x bl is the best sounding and best looking of any. I have been listening to music since before HI-FI (70+ years old). I enjoy the portability of my music on iPods and smart phones and the M50x brings out the best of these devices. But hooked up to a simple CD player brings your music listening to a new level. During the recording of "Kisses on the Bottom" Paul McCartney along with Diana Krall and her band they wore ATH 50's. Listening to that album with my 50x's It felt as if I was at Capital Studios with them. Thank you Audio-technica for a great product. You made an old man very happy.
