The StakCut 724 Heavy-Duty Trimmer from Dry Lam is a precision paper trimmer with a 24-inch cutting length and the capacity to cut up to 30 sheets of 20 lb bond paper at a time. The hardened, high carbon steel blades are self-sharpening for a lifetime of precision performance. The heavy-duty base is made of 3/4" thick wood and features a permanent 1/2" grid for precise alignment. The base also includes dual imperial and metric scales. For safety, the cutting arm incorporates a patented automatic blade latch, which locks with every cutting motion, and a protective finger guard runs the length of the cutting surface. The blade arm features an ergonomic hand grip for comfortable repeated use, and the nonskid rubber feet keep the trimmer from moving while in use.

Fantastic well worth the money. Cuts great. FIRM grip on your paper. Sturdy and smooth. A happy purchase. Can't vouch for larger paper volumes I bought this for card-making. Two small complaints One is the guard gets in the way for cutting very small pieces, and because of the guard the rail doesn't extend over all the way. The other is the magnetic rule is a loose fit so you need to be careful lining it up to mark your width. 5

I am a avid crafter an need a paper trimmer that could cut through thicker materials. This paper trimmer cuts through just about any material like butter! I have cut everything from cardstock to heavy chipboard with no problems at all! I love it and B&H ships super fast! 5

I used a cheaper trimmer for a while and got real frustrated. This trimmer is great for photos and more. Holds things down tight and cuts clean and straight. Very easy to use and I had no problem cutting up to 6 photos at a time. I would highly recommend this to anyone. 5

The cutter is so easy to use, the guideline is accurate, and the cut itself is extremely sharp. It feels substantial and looks like something that can be in a professional business office. This product works. It exceeded my expectations. There is nothing worse when trimming paper than to have the paper move, mid cut. The Carl DC-220 securely holds the paper and the cuts are precise, including the measuring system. When you unbox, you feel the substance that the board and cutting gear has. When actually making the cut, there is absolutely no need to bear down on the cutter. Merely push it along its track and the cut is done. I would highly recommend this unit. 5

Very well built and works very well. BUT I tried on the B+H website and the Carl website to find the overall dimensions. Maybe they were there but I couldn't find them. Problem is that it is too big for my work table and hangs over. I should have bought the smaller 12 one. The 12 one is considerably cheaper too. BUT the operating instructions are not very good. I had to resort to a independent YouTube video to figure out how to unlock the paper clamp. 5

Our church had used an old guillotine-style cutter for more years than I've been alive and when one of the pastors asked me to look into getting a different cutter (I personally owned a rotary), I jumped on it and did my research. We love that it clamps down on a good-sized sheet of paper at one time and you can make multiple passes to cut without worrying about shifting. The measurement markings are clear and I love the little compartment to hold extra blades and mats. It does take a little getting used to in that you need to lock it in place before each cut, but that really does make it more functional in the end. I do not like that the magnetic stopper has a loose fit and therefore can be placed (or it shifts) so that it is not square to the cutting blade, but this is minor. The fact that there is a stopper is more than I find in most cutters. 5
