- The handheld transmitter's interchangeable microphone capsule design (with an industry-standard thread) allows you to choose the mic capsule (available separately) that’s ideal for your application and simply screw it onto the transmitter—including the ATW-C510, ATW-C4100, ATW-C6100, ATW-C3300, and ATW-C5400 capsules as well as capsules from other manufacturers.
- The transmitter's gain ranges from -10 to +20 dB and can be adjusted in 2 dB increments.
- The bright OLED screen presents comprehensive setup and operating information, including battery indicator, mute status, and operating frequency. Setup functions are menu driven via soft-touch controls, which are covered to prevent accidental changes.
- The multifunction button can be programmed to act as a mute switch or to switch to a clean backup frequency with minimal interruption in case of interference.
- The transmitter easily syncs to the receiver via infrared with a quick press on the Sync button.
- Two RF power output settings are available: the low-level setting extends battery life while the high level offers a stronger RF signal link.
- The transmitter operates for up to 9 hours on two AA alkaline batteries and up to 9.5 hours on two rechargeable AA NiMH batteries.
- Charging terminals on the base of the transmitter work with the optional ATW-CHG3 charging dock or ATW-CHG3N networked charging dock to recharge AA NiMH batteries.
- The durable metal chassis is equipped a secure, locking battery compartment door.
- The wide 60 MHz UHF bandwidth gives you 2400 selectable frequencies to choose from for interference-free audio transmission in an increasingly congested RF environment.
- To prevent dropouts, the receiver's true-diversity reception compares incoming signals on two independent receiver circuits to ensure optimal RF quality.
- Auto-frequency scanning automatically selects the most appropriate frequency for the area in which the wireless is operating.
- Pre-coordinated frequency scan groups are available to simplify selection of usable frequencies in a multichannel wireless setup.
- The bright, dual-mode OLED display can be switched between two modes: the standard view provides continuous indication of RF signal strength, frequency, mute status, audio modulation level, and transmitter information, while the performance view highlights key metering.
- The display also shows the transmitter's battery life and mute status.
- Settings can be quickly adjusted using the control dial and BACK button located on the receiver's front panel. Settings can also be locked to prevent accidental changes.
- The BNC sockets for the two detachable antennas provide bias power to active remote antennas and other in-line RF devices.
- The ground-lift switch on the back panel helps eliminate audible hum caused by ground loops.
- One balanced XLR audio output lets you connect the receiver to a mixing board or PA system.
- The half-rack receiver chassis can be mounted alone in a standard 19" rack using the included mounting brackets and screws.
- The receiver features an Ethernet port, allowing users to configure, monitor, and control the system’s components remotely from a computer running Audio-Technica’s Wireless Manager software (WMS)—free download available separately.
- Once it identifies the cleanest channels, WMS takes into account intermodulation issues, builds a frequency plan for you, and deploys those frequencies to the networked receivers—saving you a lot of setup time and headaches.
- During the performance, you can use the monitor page to stay one step ahead of potential problems by keeping an eye on RF, AF, and the remaining battery life of the transmitters.
- Adding a pair of ATW-A49 LPDA directional remote antennas increases the range of your system and offers more protection against interference.
- The optional RF Venue DISTRO4 four-channel antenna distribution system allows you to distribute the RF signal from the remote antennas to four discrete 3000 Series receivers.

Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. Will this receiver work with the ew 100 G3 Transmitter?
A: The ew 100 -835 G4 is a complete wireless system that includes the EM 100 G4 receiver and an SKM 100 G4 handheld transmitter. The G4 series is backwards compatible for use with older G3 series components, as long as the frequency bands are the same for both components. The EM 100 G4 receiver can also be used with a bodypack transmitter such as the SK 100 G4 and G3 models to connect a lavalier or headset microphone. Only one transmitter can be used at a time with the receiver and the operating frequencies must match. Please contact us if you would like assistance.
Q: 2. Can you buy an extra bodypack to pair up with one of the channels such that you can use either the handheld or bodypack?
A: Yes you can get a Audio-Technica ATW-T1001 System 10 Digital Wireless Bodypack Transmitter (2.4 GHz) to use with the Audio-Technica ATW-RU13 System 10 PRO Wireless Receiver so that you can either use 2 handheld or 2 lavalier microphones.
Q: 3. Can you run more then 10 units in one location
A: I don't know for sure. Info on the web says no. Audio Technica says only 10. But they don't report what happens above 10 units
Q: 4. Will the receiver transmit static when the mic is off?
A: The Shure BLX4 receiver in the Shure BLX24/PG58 Wireless Handheld Microphone System with PG58 Capsule should not, in theory, create any noise when not paired with the PG58 transmitter. However, this is not a specification that manufacturers provide for their wireless products. Because this system operates on open frequencies, the receiver could be susceptible to RF activity in the area, which could manifest itself as audible static noise.
Q: 5. Does the on/off switch have a mute option?
A: It does not have a formal mute button. You can turn it off and then on again and it will stay on the same channel.
Q: 6. What Frequency Band is best for karaoke?
A: Actually any frequency for this set of Shure, I own 6 Shure packs and they have a range for about 175 Ft . I have the H10 and the J10 series. I use at our Church.
Q: 7. Can you interchange the microphone capsule from a Sennheiser ew 100 G3 microphone to this one?
A: Hi Louis - the microphone capsules for Evolution Wireless G3 and G4 are interchangeable and 100% compatible with each other. While EW G2 and EW G1 used a capsule system that was based on a cartridge design, the capsules for G3 and G4 are quickly & easily swapped by unscrewing them from the transmitter where the body meets the metal mesh of the microphone grille.
Q: 8. Would this work with the old ATW-DA49 antenna distribution system?
A: Yes, it will work with your system, and most wireless systems within the 440-900 MHz range.
Q: 9. Can I pair this mic with the system 10 lavalier receivers?
A: Thank you for your question. You can use up to 8 systems in an ideal environment. the receiver can only operate on a single transmitter at a time so you would need 8 full systems to mic up 8 people.
Q: 10. Hi , can I covert these microphones to wireless charging ones?
A: This is a wireless mic and batteries may be rechargeable.
