Carry your camera bag and other necessities with the 30L Everyday Backpack v2 in charcoal from Peak Design. This versatile bag is designed for photographers, multimedia creators, or anyone seeking a pack that is size adjustable and compressible. Multiple magnetic latches on the top flap allow you to adjust the height of the pack from 20.4 to 24.5". The interior has three dividers so you can stack items in the main compartment. The dividers have foldout surfaces that can be configured to cushion and hold items against the pack's zippered side openings. The side openings are positioned to face you when the bag is rotated from back to front with either side facing upward. The dividers allow you to choose which items are most quickly accessed from the sides.

The pack interior has a zippered sleeve with dedicated pockets for a 12.9" tablet computer, a 16" laptop, chargers, and cables. Store and organize batteries, memory cards, small electronics, or personal items in slip and zippered pockets on the side opening interiors. The exterior of each side opening features a large open pocket for a water bottle, tripod, or umbrella. Each side pocket also has exterior carry straps with gear loops. Long exterior carry straps and additional gear loops along the surface of the pack attach equipment, accessories, or packable clothing against the front panel. These straps can also be used to attach items to the bottom of the pack.

Carry the pack with the wide, built-in top and side handles or wear it with the adjustable shoulder straps. For heavy loads, use the sternum strap to distribute the weight more evenly. The shoulder straps can be magnetically fastened against the rear panel when not in use and an integrated trolley sleeve mounts the pack to the handle of your rolling luggage for seamless travel.

Featuring durable nylon construction, this pack is weather resistant and has a waterproof bottom panel for further protection.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this bag carry a Mirrorless with battery grip? Something along the lines of a Z9 for example?

A: Absolutely! The Everyday Backpack can definitely accommodate a battery-gripped mirrorless body.

Q: 2. Would 30L version fit under airline seats?

A: Different airlines have different requirements, however, based on the 'universal requirements' of 18 x 14 x 8 inches, the Peak Design Everyday Backpack v2 (Midnight, 30L) is too big to be an under the seat item.

Q: 3. Will this fit a Sony a7iv with 70-200GM1 attached(hood reversed)? Width-wise (not vertically)?

A: Yes the Peak Design Everyday Backpack v2 (30L, Black) will hold a Sony a7iv with 70-200 G1 from the side pocket. The dividers are movable to make a bit more room if needed.

Q: 4. Has anyone else had any issues with the sternum straps or shoulder straps loosening up on their own? My straps have started to loosen up on their own and it happens all the time.

A: There have not been any reported issues with straps loosening on the Peak Design Everyday Backpack v2 (30L, Black).

Q: 5. Would this or the 20L work best for carrying size 11 US gym shoes, gym clothes, a lunch, a nintendo switch in a case, a laptop and charger, a fuji xh1 and three prime lenses? Bonus would be the ability to put a small jacket within. Thinking that the 20L would be too small.

A: I honestly wouldn't recommend the 20L for all that gear at once. I would be more comfortable going to the 30L since you'll have more volume.

Q: 6. does it come with a waist strap?

A: No. Just a chest harness strap

Q: 7. Will it hold a Canon 90D + 300mm 2.8 II lens from one side, with camera and lens vertically placed?

A: The Peak Design Everyday Backpack v2 30L has interior dimensions of 12.2 x 23.62 x 6.69". Your camera and lens combination would be about 12.75 inches long so the camera and lens would fit vertically but not horizontally.

Q: 8. Is this bag approved by the airlines? Fitting under the seat or overhead?

A: You will have to check with your airline; however, the standard carry-on size is 22 x 14 x 9". The Peak Design Everyday Backpack v2 (Midnight, 30L) is 24.41 x 14.17 x 7.8". So, it may not be taken as a carry-on for most airlines.

Q: 9. How water resistant is it?

A: The Peak Design Everyday Backpack v2 is constructed from a weather-resistant nylon, and features a waterproof bottom panel. If you want the entire bag to be waterproof, it is suggested to get a separate rain cover.

Q: 10. Does this backpack stand upright on the floor?

A: Yes, the Peak Design Everyday v2 Backpacks (20L and 30L) do stand upright on their own. From testing here at the store, we were able to do it most of the time, but if overpacked and not properly weight-distributed it does take a few attempts.

I had many bags over the past years and this bag was working out very well for a three week trip to Japan.

I was able to pack a lot of stuff into it: a7RV with 24-105mm lens, a7R3 with 16-32mm lens, Switch (with case), big Power bank, cable bag, two additional pair oof shoes, pullover, two tripods, lots of batteries, and much more stuff. Due to the flexible top I was able to extend as needed.

The exterior is not letting liquids trhough and you can wipe what ever is on it easily off.

The hook and zipper system is easy to use and helps to lock down e.g. one side to only allow easy access to the other.

As there is a lot of stuff which can be fit into the bag, it can get pretty heavy. So be careful.

In contrast to many other folks which were reporting shoulder aching, I did not have that problem, even though I was using the bag for 3 weeks with being pretty much every day out in the world walking and carrying.

As Japan was always extremely hot and humid (in late September) I was sweating a lot. I was really happy to see that that didn't do anything to the bag and it also didn't start to smell as I have seen with so many other bags before.

Nice bag - I can recommend it! (Even though it is surely not the cheapest bag).

Yea this bag is an eye turner and very well constructed. There are plenty of small features that I really like. From the small hidden magnetic pockets to the material used for the straps to the adjustable levels in the main compartment....it’s all pretty nice.. also there are some quality zippers on this thing. A lot of thought was put into this bag and it shows.

I’m a fan.

The customizable compartments are incredibly versatile. No matter what gear you're bringing this bag can adapt to store it securely, and accessibly. Unlike some bags I've used in the past, the zipper compartments are placed in intuitive spots. The magnetic latch is something I would've never thought to look for in a bag, but it's clutch on a busy shooting day. It gives you access to your gear quickly. If you shoot live events, or anything that requires you to switch lenses frequently, this bag is a great choice. Honestly, even if you want to use it for non-photo/video purposes, it's pretty much the Cadillac of backpacks.

I've have a bunch of Peak Design products already, so I knew what to expect, but dang, this bag is really awesome. It's a very well thought out and well made bag for laptop and camera... little details like the magnets that keep the straps tight to the backpack when not in use are just amazing. Worth spending the extra $$ to get something that you will serve you well for years.
