This 20L, ash-colored Everyday Backpack Zip from Peak Design is a versatile, light-duty bag for photographers or multimedia creators, and can serve as a stylish way to carry any personal items that can be placed within it. Complete access to the main compartment is enabled by a zippered, clamshell opening. The zipper travels up both sides of the Everyday Backpack Zip and angles toward the wearer at the top of the bag. Even when partially opened, this angled zipper allows the main compartment to be easily reached whether through the top, or along either side of the Everyday Backpack Zip. Two adjustable dividers allow items to be stacked within the main compartment. The dividers feature foldout surfaces that can be configured to cushion and hold items against the sides of the bag, providing the ability to ensure which items can be most quickly accessed when the Everyday Backpack Zip is rotated from one's back to front with either side facing upward.

When this Everyday Backpack Zip is worn, a zippered sleeve with dedicated pockets for a 12.9" tablet computer, a 15" laptop, as well as documents rests behind the shoulders. To store and organize batteries, memory cards, small electronics, or personal items, the inside surfaces of each of the side openings include a both a slip pocket and a zippered pocket. Along the exterior of the side openings are two large open pockets that can each hold a water bottle, tripod, or monopod; any one of which can be secured using the included external carrying straps with the gear loops located above each pocket. With the additional gear loops distributed along the surface of the Everyday Backpack Zip, the carrying straps allow equipment, accessories, or packable clothing to be fastened against the bag's front panel.

The Everyday Backpack Zip can be carried using the wide, built-in handles along its top and sides, or by its adjustable shoulder straps. For heavy loads, this bag's sternum strap can be used to more evenly distribute the weight being carried. The rear panel which otherwise rests against the wearer's back features an integrated luggage pass-through, allowing this bag to be mounted onto a rolling case's telescoping handle for added convenience.

Featuring a durable nylon construction, the Everyday Backpack Zip is built to be weather resistant. To further protect its contents should the bag be placed on a wet surface, the bottom panel is waterproof.

This bag was everything I was looking for in a camera backpack. I wanted something light and sturdy but offered room for storage not just for cameras but also other items. I’ve had multiple backpacks with dedicated compartments for camera gear but they were either too small, not expandable, or hard to access. Yea I could get a pro backpack but they just those just look ugly. This one checked all the boxes in term of style and functionality! I just wish they would give more dividers than just two. And the dividers are not secured all the way to stop smaller things from moving from one compartment to another as you move around. 5

Got it a fortnight ago and started to stuff my camera gear into it. Really every detail has been given thought about. You can configure the bag exactly to your needs and size of camera and other gear. Easy to handle and compact. Only thing I miss: The info, for how long does it withstand rain? It's labeled: "Weatherproof", and that means...? 5

I got the 15L after much debate on what would be the perfect size camera backpack for me. Most other ones I looked at were either enormous or too small (I have a small sling that fills that need). Quality: Amazing. Perhaps the most well-made backpack I've ever had. Durable materials, soft interior, magnetic and zip pockets, just really overall great design. Regarding size: The 15L is perhaps SLIGHTLY smaller than I anticipated, I think somewhere around 18L would've been the sweet spot for my needs. In this I can fit basically all my camera gear, but little else. It fits my APS-C, a few lenses, my DJI Mini2 w/ Controller, 13" Macbook Pro, and some random dongles and accessories. Maybe a snack. It's not a huge issue cause I rarely ever pack all that at once, but it happens. Secondly, the straps are a little tight. To be expected on a smaller bag like this, but something to keep in mind if you're a guy with broad shoulders, you'll likely have to loosen the straps close to all the way for it to be comfortable. Would still totally recommend this for someone looking for a smaller backpack, but just a couple things to keep in mind. 5

The first Peak Design Backpack I bought was the Travel Backpack, which I loved but found too big for everyday use, so when the Everyday Backpack was released I bought it right away and generally very happy with the backpack. It has many pockets throughout the pack so organization is very good, accessibility is great as well. Kinda wish there is a front pocket for tiny or quick access items as well but not an issue at all. 5

I will say initially it underwhelmed me, but after using the bag for a few trips and as a daily driver it is by far the best designed camera bag I’ve owned. I’ve tried them all, Lowepro, Wandrd, etc and this just knocks them out of the water. It’s comfortable, solid materials, zippers work flawlessly, doesn’t look like a camera bag, and the side access and customization is superb. I typically use this as a travel camera backpack, daily work backpack, and “dad” pack for outings with the kids. 5

I have the V1 backpack (with the flap top) and the zip version is a definite improvement because even though the V1 flap closes securely, the zip version is more water resistant. The backpack is highly configurable and it’s storage capacity is amazing 5

Quality meets function + aesthetic design. This backpack was thoughtfully designed for the photographer/videographer in mind. It’s great for everyday, travel & adventure. The dual zippers make accessing gear easy. Plenty of internal pockets make it easy to stay organized. The clean aesthetic and simplified design was also a huge draw for me. I purchased this bag in the bone color and to say I’m obsessed is an understatement. The 15L size fits my everyday needs; however, I would have definitely purchased the 20L size if it came in the bone color for a little extra space. I also like that you can add a hip belt to this pack for added stability when hiking longer trails—I just wish the hip belt also came in the bone color as well to keep the overall aesthetic of the bag. Overall, this is the best Camera backpack I have used to date! It deserves all the hype! 5
