I use the messenger bag everyday for work, with a laptop, tablet, and everything else I need for the day. It all fits, with no bulk, and with easy strap adjustment. When I'm travelling, it expands to handle more stuff, with lots of pockets and slots perfectly situated for things like passports and chargers. It's also the best bag to travel with outdoors, easily and safely handling enough camera equipment and electronics to get me through the day.

Best bag ever - I was so lucky to receive it as a gift from my kids!

I just received the 13L V2 Messenger in Black about a week ago and I'm very pleased with it so far. I was concerned about the capacity since they did away with the 15 inch version but that doesn't appear to be an issue. The size is almost perfect for my Nikon mirrorless kit. The bag can fit my Z6 with the massive 105 f/1.4 lens adapted, 2 smaller 1.8 primes, plus a 70-200 2.8 with no problem. I could probably squeeze in a second body and/or speed light if necessary.

Another highlight for me is the Capture Clip attachment points. I had stopped using my Capture because I didn't like having it on my backpack strap. The attachment points on this bag are far more comfortable and just as functional.

I don't own a V1 or V1.5 Everyday Messenger to compare this model to, but the V2 messenger is an awesome bag and I highly recommend it.

This is a great message bag, the build quality is solid it will last for years and it has a great guarantee. Easily find space for my Camera and four lenses. Easily converts to carrying documents. Even used it for a overnight bag. It's comfortable to carrying with the wide adjustable strap. Probably one of the best products PD has ever made!

This is my first experience with everyday carry bag
I never tried first version,
I don't use it for cameras or photography gadgets,

But I really loved the concept of compartmentilazation and high quality materials, it just happens to carry and protect all my work essentials in an easy to access and easy to carry manner.
What I use it for : my syprface pro 7 in a sleeve and it's charger and USB hub, my coffee thermos, some ducuments, keys, wallets, ID badge, vape devices, assortment of pens, power bank, travel wall plug, USB stick among others,

Price is a bit on the higher side, but I believe it's worthwhile it for my needs

This is an awesome update. I got it for my husband and he loves it. I have the previous version and I thought the zipper access was awesome, so I LOVE it! But my husband thinks this one is way better, and the pockets are pretty awesome.

I bought this bag nearly two years ago and use it as a photo bag. A Fuji X-T3 with 3 lenses (2 Zoomlenses, 1 Fixed) and my 11" Ipad Pro will fit in there without any problems.

I bike commute to work nearly every day, year 'round, have done so for years. Have had the Osprey Messenger bags, was looking for something more refined, more compact, lighter. The Everyday Messenger v2 hits all the right notes, with only a couple minor issues (for me). I received the bag 2 weeks ago, have been using it everyday since.

The good: stellar overall design, superb materials, great latch. The structured construction helps keep the bag open when filling it. Everyday I carry my work clothes, Lenovo X1 Carbon 14" laptop, bike tools, slim first aid kit, 2 phones in an external case attached to the main strap, a slim underwater camera, wallet...a LOT of stuff. It barely fits but it does. It's about 13 lbs.

Once I got the straps adjusted to my liking, this bag carries that bulk and weight BEAUTIFULLY - the balance and snugness are spot on. Even though the main strap padding is very thin, IT WORKS. It is the smallest possible bag that could carry all that stuff, and it's already proven to be waterproof.

The minor nits: my 14" super-thin laptop just barely fits - adding just 1/4" to the width would make it much easier to get in an out (yes, I know this is listed as a '13"' laptop bag but the measurements are SO close). The padding between the laptop and my back - too thin - when I've got the bag full, I can feel the laptop.

Minor nit #2: the pockets - make them deeper, and for the hidden pocket, make the sections wider.

But. Utterly. Stellar. Bag. LOVE IT.

I love this bag, its perfect. I usually carry a sony camera with a 35 mm prime and a 24-105 mm zoom lens and they fit just fine as well with my keys, phone, wallet and a small notebook. It zips on the side and is mostly safe and convenient for quickly changing lenses.

But i really had to write this review bc this material is very resilient. I had to film in a beach at night and it suddenly called for wading in knee deep water. My notebook was completely dry despite the water and the waves hitting the bag. It wasnt submerged, mind you, but against some water it held up fantastically. Highly recc.

The built quality of this sling bag is insane! The materials of each part of this sling bag is really robust and nice!

I'm just excited to have this bag even if I don't carry any of my camera gear in the bag.

Little folding divider is extra well thought out.

Enough of my biased comments. Let's get into more technical side.

I can put, 1x Cannon 80D battery, 1x Sony RX100 battery, 1x 1st gen apple pencil, 2x extra Dji mini2 battery, 1x Dji mini2 controller, 1x Dji mini2 drone, 1x 9th gen iPad, 1x smart keyboard, 1x Sony RX100 camera, 1x Canon EF-S 15-85mm lens, 1x BIC four-colored pen, 1x Sharpie, 1x airpod pro, and 1x soft covered 3.5x5.5 moleskine notebook.

Yup! They can fit all in this sling back. If I feel light heavy (or I need to carry it without putting down anywhere), I will leave my iPad, Smart Keyboard, and apple pencil. That will light the bag much even though few hundred grams. I read one comment from B&H review and someone said, few grams matter. It really does.

Lastly, I want to add that I'm a backpack guy and this is THE ONLY sling back I use.

I was one of the original Kickstarter backers for the original version of the Everyday Messenger. And while I have review fatigue, generally speaking, this bag needs one. While I sometimes find myself lusting after other bags, particularly leather ones, I keep returning back to my Messenger. For one, leather is heavy. But my Messenger is just so extraordinarily well-designed. It is functional in a way that no other bag has ever been. My consideration is that the Messenger is in a class of itself, top of class, best of class, however you want to label it. The pockets are so well-designed. The two zips, for the padded pocket at the back and the top of the main compartment, are so useful and functional that I wonder how I ever lived without them in other bags. Case in point: In my work I deal with a lot of 11x17 sheets; so I put them either in a binder or on my big clipboard, and then slip the clipboard end into the main compartment through the top pocket. While the item is not entirely inside the bag, it does allow me to walk with it in my bag rather than carry it separately. And that super simple adjustable strap? "Divine intervention" inspired that one: able to cinch up the bag like that so easily is so helpful and useful. The only regret I have with my Messenger bag is whether or not to replace it with a new one in one of the updated finishes. I can't recommend this bag highly enough.
