Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this be controlled by a panasonic rw-50 controller?

A: It cannot be. That Panasonic remote only works with select Panasonic cameras.

Q: 2. i'm getting this 3104se +RS232 Cable (av-1081) if i get a 1281 will i be able to cable connect 2nd camera?

A: While the AViPAS 4D Serial Joystick Controller (No IP Function) can support daisy chaining, the AViPAS AV-1081 HDMI PTZ Camera (White) does not, and would not work in the setup described above.

Q: 3. Will this control a Panasonic AW-HE60S?

A: Panasonic recommends use of a AW-RP50E controller for IP control of the AW-HE60S camera. Although 3rd party IP controllers may be able to communicate with IP controllable PTZ cameras, the Panasonic controllers are coded specifically for use with their cameras and are recommended for full compatibility.

Q: 4. Does this work with the Datavideo ptc 150 ptz cameras?

A: Yes. The following unit offers RS-232/422/485 communication.

Q: 5. Does this need a capture card for the HDMI ouput to a computer?

A: For an HDMI output you will always need a capture card. Computers in general do not have HDMI inputs for capture. However this camera offers an IP streaming output, which means you do not need to use the HDMI output with an HDMI capture card. You can use the IP Stream through Ethernet.

Q: 6. Will this work with a Tevo-vhd20n ptz camera?

A: Yes, The AViPAS 4D Serial Joystick Controller (No IP Function) should control your camera using the Visca protocol. You would need a Visca cable like the following model. TecNec Visca Camera Control Cable 9-P D-Sub F to 8-P DIN M 50 Ft BH #TEV9F50 https://bhpho.to/3hTeILq

Q: 7. Will this control more than one camera at a time?

A: This can control multiple cameras but they will have to be controlled individually

Q: 8. Is any IOS or Android apps for wireless control?

A: No there is not.

Q: 9. How do I set this up to control 2 AviPas 1081 PTZ cameras? Where do I find the appropriate cables?

A: AV-1081 only has one RS-232 interface. Using AV-3104 to control two AV-1081, you will need to add a "Y splitter" or a "RS232 port expander". Usually if a you want to use AV-3104 to control multiple cameras, we will suggest AV-1281 and the end camera can be an AV-1081. That would allow them to daisy chain the cameras. But then a special VISCA cable will be required between cameras.

Q: 10. Are you able to control or adjust the Pan speed? It is fast and looks mechanical when controlled by the remote.

A: Yes, the pan speed can be adjusted by twisting the "PTZ Speed" knob on the keyboard of the AViPAS AV-3104IP 4D Joystick PTZ Controller.
