So anything that lies in between the plate and the camera body may change that connection and prevent a perfect fit. We know of users who have used Kirk and made the starp and plate work, and we also know some who did not like that setup. Spider Holster provides an arca-Swiss style tripod plate (that goes on top of our Pro Spider plate if you have DSLR). That setup will work with your Arca-Swiss style tripod. A: It's fine. It comes with its own little screw that secures the bottom of the strap to the camera.
