Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this support a bidi SFP? If so which one/which brands would be compatible?

A: The StarTech Gigabit Ethernet Fiber Media Converter BH #STMCM1110MML does not support BiDi SFP.

Q: 2. Does the Talkback 4K come with the Fiber connector as pictured in your description for the Talkback 4K interface? Can I connect BMD Talkback 4K Fiber Connectors to the BMD Studio Fiber connector and have intercom at the BMD URSA Broadcaster Camera Fiber back?

A: The Talkback 4K does not include fiber SFP modules, they can be purchased separately: 3G - https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/654839-REG/Blackmagic_Design_ADPT_3GBI_OPT_Adaptor_3G_BD_SFP.html 6G - https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1076394-REG/blackmagic_design_adpt_6gbi_opt_adapter_6g_bd.html 12G - https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1447935-REG/blackmagic_design_adpt_12gbi_opt_12g_bd_sfp_optical.html Yes, you can connect the Talkback 4K to the Studio Converter to get talkback on an URSA Broadcast camera with a Fiber Converter attached. You will need an ATEM switcher to pass the talkback channels through. Newer ATEM switchers have talkback built in, so you only need the Talkback 4K if you're using an older model. Consult your manual to see if your ATEM model has talkback built in.

Q: 3. how long for per roll?

A: I've not bought any rolls; only sheets. This item appears to be 66' though.

Q: 4. Is this available in luster?

A: Unfortunately, this paper is currently available only in glossy and emulsion-in.

Q: 5. Can I use a bidirectional SFP on this? If so, what brand would be compatible (CISCO, Netgear, etc.)?

A: The TP-Link MC220L Gigabit SFP Media Converter BH #TPMC220L is compatible with: For MC200CM: 850nm For MC210CS: 1310nm For MC220L: depends on the used SFP module For MC200CM: 62.5/125μm multi-mode fiber (≤220m); 50/125μm multi-mode fiber (≤550m) For MC210CS: 9/125μm single-mode fiber (≤15km) For MC220L: depends on the used SFP module It should work with other brands as well.

Q: 6. Needing to connect to existing Telex intercom system. Can I connect this directly to a Telex PS15 by building my own DB25 cable or do I need an interface (Telex DSI-2008) to make them work together?

A: The connections to the Fiber Converter require a 4 wire interface. You would need a 2 wire to 4 wire interface. Then build a custom cable with DB-25 for our end and whatever the 4 wire interface needs.

Q: 7. Will a breakout cable be available for the tally intercom interface?

A: As requirements for this would be custom, you will need to make one yourself.

Q: 8. does this come with the rackmount kit as shown in the picture?

A: The Rack Mount kit is a separate option.

Q: 9. If i have a 5 camera set up how many fibre converters do I need?

A: You will need a Camera Fiber Converter and Studio Fiber Converter for each camera.

Q: 10. Is there a single mode Fiber Camera Extension for black magic? If these are at a stadium and my control room is 1/2 mile away?

A: Currently there is no Blackmagic single mode fiber extension for the Blackmagic Design Studio Fiber Converter. You may wish to consider the Sony Single Mode Fiber Camera Extension Adapter BH #SOHDCE100 • MFR #HDCE100.

I use this paper in a pinhole camera. Easy to get chemicals and process. Since it is positive paper you do not need to process a negative and then do a print, it comes out the first time. I have never had problems with the paper, processing or the results. It's a great way to get down to the basics of photography and see how it was done a long time ago. Once you get used to the low ISO rating the rest is a pice of cake.

Perfect for days when you only want to make a few special exposures. Extremely sharp prints with lots of contrast.

This DP paper can lend itself to some amazingly beautiful images. It's good quick to use and good fun too since you can have the images quickly. Similar to polaroid, each print is unique and this makes everyone special. Notes: I use ISO 2 for exposure. The image is reversed I have read people pre-flash to reduce contrast, but I did not find it necessary.

I bought this to use with my recently acquired Lensless pinhole camera. I didn't want to bother with processing negatives and going through the extra steps of scanning and whatnot so this seemed to fit the bill. Pros: Very easy to work with. It can be loaded with a safelight which is a huge plus in my book. Sure you can do it in the dark, but it's always nice to know that your paper is loaded correctly before you spend hours in the field and realize you exposed the wrong side :/ Developing is a breeze. Just develop, stop, fix, wash and dry. Extremely Robust. You don't have to worry about scratching this product as you would with a film negative. I routinely manhandle it with my hands, developing tongs and a hair dryer to move the drying process along. On a side note, it does tend to curl when drying but is easily remedied with a good book or two. THICK Blacks! I've noticed a very strong amount of contrast with this paper which may be augmented by preflashing if you don't like it. Personally, however, it's exactly the look I'm going for anyway. Most of the images I've produced are absolute black and white with 2-3 shades of gray thrown in. Cons: You really have to nail your exposures with this paper. I'd say you have about 1 stop of latitude either way. Slower than molasses in January. This paper is rated at ISO 3 which is fairly accurate. My shortest exposures range from 3-6 minutes depending on the subjects and prevailing lighting conditions. I recently did a 1 1/2 hour exposure in the deep shade of a forest and still underexposed by about a stop.

Used it with Speed Graphic, love everything about it, texture & weight. It does curl while drying but nothing a little drafting tape can't help with. I am going to pre-flash the next time.

Love it. Shoot it often. Developes in standard chems... Rich tonality, fantastic prints.

The paper fits exactly in a 4x5 film holder, there was no need to cut anything. I rated it at 3 ISO and the exposure was correct. I developed with Ilford Multigrade, for one minute. After the stop bath and a one minute fix (Ilford Rapid Fixer), I washed it for 3 minutes in Kodak HCA and for 30 minutes in water. The paper curled a little during the drying, but it was easy to press it flat by putting some heavy books on it. It's the first time I use FB paper and the first time I use direct positive paper and I really liked the experience.

Great product easy to use and handle, great quality. Glossy finish and perfect color composition when perfect exposure is done.

As others have said, this fits perfect in a 4x5 film holder. I'm still getting it figured out, but I think ISO 1.6 works. Developing with Kodak Dektol and Fixer, and Ilford Ilfostop, all following standard directions. I just started experimenting with preflashing, and it definitely helps. I haven't taken careful measurements, but a 1/2 sec exposure at f/5.6 with a single layer of a white cotton t-shirt over the lens, outside, light overcast, seemed to work.

For photo paper, this has great tonal range. Prints are fantastic and rich. Buy this stuff as much as possible to keep the ball rolling!
