A: My wife uses it on her Canon 6D, which is full-frame, and on a 60D, which is APS-C. Works fine, so should work on the T3i, which is APS-C. In general, an EF lens works on any camera an EF-S lens works on, but not the other way around.It is slow and a bit loud while focusing -- fine for anything except sports action and bouncing-off-walls grandkids and cats in motion. Not as sharp as the (dropped) Canon lens it replaced, especially in the corners, but surprisingly good... and of course good value for the price. My wife has sharp Canon lenses at 50mm and 28mm and a Canon 28-105mm so did not want to heavily invest in a 35 mm prime.
