The DCI 4/300 DriveCore Install Analog Series from Crown Audio is a 4-channel amplifier capable of producing 300 watts of output per channel and works with 2, 4, 8, and 16 Ohms or 70 or 100 Vrms. Channels can be bridged for powering higher power applications such as a subwoofer. The 4/300 also has channel-independent high- or low-impedance output that is selectable from the rear-panel DIP switches. This allows you to integrate the amplifier into a variety of different setups. Each of its 4 channels additionally features independent attenuators with an attenuation range from 0 to -80 dB.

The front panel of the 4/300 provides a series of system indicators, including level and signal, ready, clip, thermal, and fault alerts for quick visual monitoring of the system. The unit can be integrated into a control system for powering on and off as well as engaging its sleep mode for saving energy when not in use. The 4/300 is 2U rackmountable and ships with 4 male connectors for wiring and an IEC power cord.

I've used the older model of this for about 12 years now for a theater that specializes in plays. They've lasted forever and I was replacing an older crown model that had an amp channel go out. This model has great gain with low noise coming off of our Ls9. Highly recommend it. 5

This is the second Crown xli added to my home rack. I must say I am quite impressed by the sound this amp. First, is a simple no frills A/B Class toroidal amp, no bells & whistles, no on-board DSP, just that classic clean powerful Crown sound. This one is used with a dbx Driverack on a pair of old school JBL studio monitors and it's a great match. 5

My previous amp ran the fans from front to rear, but I prefer the way this amp blows from rear (inside the rack) to front. The RMX 850a has standard balanced input connectors, and multiple output connectors including advanced SpeakON. It's easy to configure for bridging, limiting, filtering, or other standard options. 5

I was needing one of these amplifiers for a like-kind replacement at a church job site where the amp on site had failed. Placed an order with another company that assured me they had it in stock, they didn't. B&H to the rescue!! Got it very quickly and swapped it out, sound system is back to fully operational status. 5

We are using this 2-channel amplifier to power 4 subwoofers wired in parallel, as the specs explicitly show support for our expected low-impedance setup and expected wattage. Note the unit is 3 RUs tall, make sure there is enough space in the rack if replacing an expired amplifier. The standard NEMA 5-15P (15 amp power plug) removable IEC included allowed for easy integration within our existing rack PDU setup. The simple, tried-and-true analog input wiring and dip switches were easy to integrate with our DSP, set preferred mode and filters. The physical power switch on the front is nice for our use case. The front dial appears to operate by digitally switching between gain steps, rather than a smooth analog potentiometer with physical start and stop limits. Not an issue for us but worth noting. We were impressed with the power output this amp is capable of, allowing us to drive the connected subwoofers at higher power levels than the previous amp could achieve given our low-impedance setup. For the sake of intelligibility, we dialed everything back enough to make our desired sub shake felt-not-heard but balanced with the meeting space's intended audio sources. 5

I've had all sorts of amps in my entertainment center, but nothing with this much power. I had assumed that I might have a hiss or other audio anomaly because my TV doesn't have the best audio output capability. I'm surprised to say, no hiss, no buzz, no nothing. Not even the fans are audible to me. Great purchase and well worth it. Be aware though, this does not have bass or treble controls, so you'll have to find a different piece of equipment if you don't like a flat response. Better TV's might give you those controls, but my LG does not. 5
