The cocoa B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Standard Sensitivity, with Hardwired TA5F Connector for Lectrosonics Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter. It can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, house of worship, and general lavalier applications.

This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as in presentations or sermons. Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in a performer's hair or on costumes, ties, or behind a shirt button. It can also be attached to eyeglasses, for a secure, discreet, and convenient alternative to hair miking. The ultrathin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's aramid-reinforced cable terminates to a TA5F connector for direct connection to Lectrosonics IM, LM, UM100, UM110, UM190, UM190b, UM195b, UM200, UM200b, UM200c, UM250b, UM250c, UM300b, UM400, and UM500 wireless bodypack transmitters.

Additionally, the included swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with a protective cap, which can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Standard, for most uses.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this have a limiter or at least dual-level ability like the far cheaper Tascam DR10L? I see things I like about it but with my talent flying solo out there it would be nice to at least equal the Tascam in reassurance for me.

A: Split Gain mode records two different tracks, one at the normal level and another at -18 dB as a “safety” track that can be used in place of the normal track in the event that overload distortion (clipping) has occurred on the normal track—up to 23 hours on a 32GB card. The recorder allows for a wide range of input gain adjustments for mic- to line-level signals.

Q: 2. hi wanted to know length covered need 14 pcs?

A: 40' - 180 degree.

Q: 3. Can you feed continuous time code from a separate Timecode device like an Ambient Lockit? My understanding is the clock in the MTCR is not reliable. I realize this is counter productive in terms of overall package size but I might need more accurate TC on some occasions.

A: Although the Lectrosonics MTCR Miniature Bodypack Digital Audio Recorder with M152 Lavalier will accept an external timecode jam, it does not appear that a hardwired timecode source will be accepted throughout recording. The timecode function may be similar to a "Free Run" jam scenario. With a Lockit hardwired, you may still have to initiate the "Timecode Jam" function each take if you are unconfident in the device's internal clock.

Q: 4. Can I use this with a hand mic connected with a 3-Pin XLR Female to 3.5mm RA Cable ?

A: The transmitter within the Movo Photo EDGE-DI Digital Wireless Omni Lavalier Microphone System for iPhones (2.4 GHz) has a 3.5mm TRS audio input connection. To potentially use with a dynamic handheld microphone, the compatible cable would be 3-Pin XLR female to 3.5mm TRS. A right angle on the 3.5mm connector would be okay to use.

Q: 5. I just purchased 2 Sennheiser EW 112P G4 systems. When both of them are plugged into separate channels on my camera, there is a distinct hiss. It only happens when I plug them both in. When it's just one, the hiss goes away. They are on different frequencies. Any suggestions? Thanks!

A: Typically this has to do with the mic preamp inside the camera because it is built so close to the rest of the circuitry in the camera it generates a noise floor or background hiss.

Q: 6. How does the receiver attach to a canon rp?

A: The receiver slides right into the shoe mount on top of the camera. If you have the shoe mount in use, you can always get a multi-shoe mount to mount multiple accessories, or because the Blink 500 receiver is so light, you can even clip it to the camera strap.

Q: 7. Can I plug this into my iphone using an adapter to play audio through instagram? If so, what do I need?

A: Yes, you can connect the ew 112P wireless system to your iPhone using a Lightning adapter. The Saramonic LC-C35 Locking 3.5mm Connector to Apple-Certified Lightning Output Cable (B&H # SALCC35) is a single-cable solution that can be connect to the receiver's output jack and directly into the iPhone's Lightning port. As another option, you can use the Rode SC4 3.5mm TRS Female to 3.5mm Right-Angle TRRS Male Adapter Cable for Smartphones (B&H # ROSC4) together with the Apple Lightning to 3.5mm Headphone Jack Adapter (B&H # APLAADAP) attached to the original Sennheiser receiver output cable that was included with the wireless system.

Q: 8. can you remove the round windscreen?

A: Yes, the round metal windscreen on the Sennheiser ME 2-II lavalier microphone can be removed. Replacements are available -- Sennheiser MZW-2EW Steel Mesh Windscreen for ME2 Microphone (B&H # SEMZW2EW) or Auray Metal Windscreen for Senal OLM2 and Sennheiser ME2 Microphones (B&H # AUWLMOLM2S).

Q: 9. Can I use a Sanken COS- 11D mic with a TA5F connector on the MTCR?

A: Yes. This will accept a TA5F COS-11D wired for Lectrosonics.

Q: 10. As non-diversity, is this system subjected to more dropouts that true diversity? Can anyone shed some light based on experience?

A: A non-diversity wireless system may not have the same distance capability, or frequency agility as a true diversity wireless system.
