The cocoa B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Standard Sensitivity, with Hardwired TA4F Connector for Shure Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter. It can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, house of worship, and general lavalier applications.

This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as in presentations or sermons. Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in a performer's hair or on costumes, ties, or behind a shirt button. It can also be attached to eyeglasses, for a secure, discreet, and convenient alternative to hair miking. The ultrathin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's aramid-reinforced cable terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Shure MXW1 and MXW1/0=-Z11 wireless bodypack transmitters.

Additionally, the included swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with a protective cap, which can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Standard, for most uses.

Q: 1. Will these work for stage singing, i.e., a musical with four singers, in both open spaces and closed venues? Thanks

A: This system could be a viable option for stage performance, but it depends on a few factors. First, know you will need 4 of these systems to allow for 4 wireless mics to run at the same time. Second, you would need to confirm which frequencies are available in your performance area, this would tell you what frequency ranges to use and whether this system can hand 4 mics at one time. This can be done using Shure's Wireless Frequency Finder. We would recommend giving us a call at 800-606-6969 to assist in finding that information. Lastly for musicals, you'd probably want a lower profile lav mic you could hide on the performers head, or in a costume. Here's a recommendation for that type of mic BH #SHTL47TOMTQG.

Q: 2. Will this work on a tascam DR-40?

A: The Shure SM11 is a dynamic mic. It will work with anything that has an XLR mic input. It is a dynamic mic so there is no need for phantom power.

Q: 3. Can you adapt the XLR or 1/4 To go into a computer 3.5 mic jack safely without risk of damaging the computer or do I need something like a Scarlet And if I can adapt it without a scarlet witch adapter should I use I know the basics but I don’t know if the output of the mic is TS TRS TRRS

A: The best practice for connecting a mic to a computer would be through an audio interface like a Focusrite Scarlett or similar product. This will allow for better sound conversation to the computer, and lower noise possibilities.

Q: 4. Will this work well with a Zoom H4n recorder?

A: Yes it will. Be sure to turn off the recorder's 48V phantom power.

Q: 5. origin for this mic ?

A: The Shure SM11-CN is currently manufactured in Germany.

Q: 6. How long is the cord, what connector does it use?

A: This mic has a 4' cable length, and comes with a ta4f connection wired for Shure wireless systems.

Q: 7. Can this be utilized solely as in ear monitors?

A: No, the components of the Shure BLX188/CVL Dual-Channel Wireless Cardioid Lavalier Microphone System cannot be repurposed as in ear monitors. In this scenario, the smaller beltpack units are transmitters with TA4F microphone connections, where an IEM system would require them to be receivers with headphone connections.

Q: 8. hi wanted to know length covered need 14 pcs?

A: 40' - 180 degree.

Q: 9. is this good for noise enviroments? what is best use for this mic

A: This mic is good for speech and vocal. But I would recommend you this mic for speech and presentation. And also You have to adjust the mic gain control in the body pack. If you use the audio mixer, set the mic gain control knob to get the best sound. This is good for speech and vocal. Good luck.

Q: 10. Can I connect this lavalier directly to a Zoom H5?

A: The Shure MX184 is able to connect directly to one of the 2 available XLR mic inputs on the recorder. It will also receive its power from the recorder.
