The cocoa E2 Unidirectional Earset Microphone with Detachable Cable and TA4F Connector from Countryman is an over-the-ear earset, similar to a classic E6 earset, but with a shorter boom designed to work with Electro-Voice wireless microphone systems. It provides suitable isolation at the mouth, but with less visibility than an E6 omni earset, and can be used to capture audio for general speaking and vocal applications.

With an equalizing circuit built into the audio connector, the frequency response is tuned so you can experience full-bodied bass and precise highs that are warm and natural. The element, boom, and sub-miniature connector are all easily hidden on the user's face. The boom position near the ear helps to eliminate breath pops and vocal plosives on the mic. The detachable cable terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to an Electro-Voice 3000 Series, N/DYM NBPU, MSB, BPV, BPU, BPU2, CSB-1000, RE-1, RE-2, or BP-300 bodypack transmitter.

The E2 Earset redefines pure sound in a virtually invisible package. It offers better ease of use than a lavalier or podium microphone.

There are two aspects of the E2 design that make it possible to capture sound so far away from the mouth: strong off-axis rejection and precisely tuned frequency response. For on-axis interference, the frequency response tuning in the connector of the E2 allows you to fully capitalize on the proximity boosting effect of the mic to achieve even stronger isolation in the voice band.

Like the connector for the industry-standard E6, the connector for the E2 is built tougher and more water resistant than previous models.

Standard gain, for speaking and vocals.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. what kind of devices can I plug my atr-1100 microphone into?

A: The Audio Technica ATR 1100 is a dynamic handheld mic that requires no power in order to operate and can be connected to almost any device that accepts a 1/8 or 1/4 mic jack. This includes PA systems, camcorders, voice recorders, etc.

Q: 2. does the back come off of this model?

A: No it does not. There is no reason that the microphone should be opened at all. It is rechargeable if it is placed in the charger base and will last up to 8 hours per charge. I would strongly advise you do not attempt to open the microphone as it you may well void the warranty. If it needs servicing please contact the manufacturer.

Q: 3. How does this differ from my mic150 shotgun mic?

A: The Panasonic MIC150 has a frequency response of 80 Hz to 16 kHz whereas the Panasonic AG-MC200G has a frequency response of 160 Hz to 20 Hz.

Q: 4. I have a JVC GY-HM170UA camera and bought this microphone, but the camera does not recognize, all possible tests and still the same. Can anybody help me?

A: It would be difficult to determine what the issue may be. The mic requires phantom power to operate. This is provided by the camera when Input is set to the MIC+48V setting. This would be the most commonly overlooked. If you require assistance with your purchase, please feel free to email a Pro Video Representative here at provideo@bandh.com They will be best equipped to assist you.

Q: 5. I have a Canon r600 camcorder, does this mic require Phantom power or does it use batteries as i am unsure if the port allows for Phantom power.

A: This is a dynamic handheld mic that requires no phantom power.

Q: 6. Need foam windscreen for this mic, which one do I get?

A: I use the one that came with the mic

Q: 7. Will this headset work with iPhones?

A: i don't think so

Q: 8. how would this compare to MKE 600 or AT875R ?

A: In terms of specifications, the three mics do have differences in the way they perform, how they are powered, as well as in their physical size and features. The Panasonic AG-MC200G Unidirectional Microphone is 6.38" (162 mm) long and has a frequency response range of 160 Hz to 20 Hz, a maximum sound pressure level of 127 dB, a sensitivity level of -40 dB at 1 kHz, a signal-to-noise ratio of 69 dB, and operates using phantom power. The Audio-Technica AT875R Short Shotgun Microphone is 6.89" (175 mm) long and has a frequency response range of 90 Hz to 20 kHz, a maximum sound pressure level of 127 dB, a sensitivity level of -30 dB at 1 kHz, a signal-to-noise ratio of 74 dB, and operates using phantom power. The Sennheiser MKE 600 Shotgun Microphone is a longer mic that can operate using either phantom power or a single AA battery and it has a selectable low-cut filter at 100 Hz to roll off low-frequency noise from common sources such as air conditioners and traffic. The MKE 600 is 10.08" (256 mm) long and it has a frequency response range of 40 Hz to 20 kHz, a maximum sound pressure level of 132 dB when using phantom power and 126 dB when using battery, a sensitivity level of 21 mV/Pa with phantom power and 19 mV/Pa with battery power, and a signal-to-noise ratio of 79 dB with phantom power and 78 dB with battery power. The frequency response range is the output range for the audio that the mic is able to reproduce and the maximum sound pressure level is the level of the loudest sounds that the mic can reproduce. The sensitivity rating is the amount of output gain for the input (a higher negative number indicates that the mic is less sensitive than a mic with a lower negative number), and the signal-to-noise ratio is the level of the desired sound compared to the unwanted noise (a higher number indicates a stronger audio signal with less noise).

Q: 9. Is this mic also compatible with the Sony PXW-Z150 4K ?

A: Yes, it is a standard XLR connected mic, the model you mentioned has 2 XLR inputs. This will also work with any other equipment that has XLR, so it can be very useful for other equipment too.

Q: 10. Is the microphone mono or stereo?

A: This is a mono microphone. It is a single channel.

My CANON EOS-90D at now may put geotags to images. Very easy connect this device to camera body via hot shoe. The geotagging feature is very usable at travel time. In additional, I'm very plsasure from service level provided by seller.

This receiver does exactly what I was hoping it would do...automatically capture the GPS coordinates of my photos. It sure saves a lot of time vs. guessing exactly where I was at the time. I am loving it.

Very useful device if you take a lot of pictures in multiple locations. Easy to use, sometimes needs a minute to locate the GPS satellites after turning it on, but after that it provides the positioning info on your pictures. Software is another matter. Canon supposedly provides a mapping software but I have not found it yet and I am not sure they have it for Mac OS. Nevertheless I am very happy to have this device which will save me many hours trying to figure out locations that I have to do on the pictures I took before I bought this.

This is my second one. Purchased for an upcoming shoot where I'll need to quickly alternate camera bodies and need GPS tagging. The only downside is that it adds a tiny bit of additional bulk to the top of your camera. It will run for more than a full day on a single AA Alkaline battery. I'm using this with R5 bodies.

This thing is MUCH more reliable and simple to use than Canon's app that uses your cell phone (and rapidly drains its battery) for GPS data.

Oh how I wish Canon would build GPS into more of their bodies. I LOVED my 6D bodies of years ago for exactly this reason. Yes they would cause additional drain on the camera's battery but that was simple enough to deal with and well worth it to have constant, reliable, gps data without adding another device to the camera.

After spending the 2021-22 holidays organizing my images going back to 2002 I found that having the GPS location in the image metadata was very helpful. I wanted to get that with all of my new images going forward since only my iPhone images over the years had that data.

This works great with my Canon 90D via the hot shoe, and my Rebel T5 via the USB cable (no hot shoe for T5 (NON i)).

This GPS logger integrates nicely with the Canon T4i, just turn it on and go! A single AA battery can last quite a while, depending on the setting you choose for logging frequency. Attaching it to the hotshoe makes it easy to carry, though it does stick out a bit. If you want to use a flash, you can attach it by a USB cable, instead. (They supply both a long and short cable to suit your needs.) In the event you don't want it attached all day, it can still be used to sync the camera's clock perfectly, and then independantly log the day's travels for later geotagging. The only negative is to download the log file requires that you use the Canon software. (I would have preferred to just copy the file off like a flash drive.) But if you don't need the log, it will geotag the photos directly in the camera, no special software needed, and no extra processing later on.

Canon's answer to mobile devices. Now all your photos will have location information. No more wondering where the shot was taken. Works just like they said it would.

I took my camera (MKIII) to a fishing trip. I was able to tag my location to the photos I took and see the route we went on a boat. Location in the log file was very accurate.
