The cocoa E2 Unidirectional Earset Microphone with Detachable Cable and TA4F Connector from Countryman is an over-the-ear earset, similar to a classic E6 earset, but with a shorter boom designed to work with Line 6 wireless microphone systems. It provides suitable isolation at the mouth, but with less visibility than an E6 Omni earset, and can be used to capture audio for general speaking and vocal applications.

With an equalizing circuit built into the audio connector, the frequency response is tuned so you can experience full-bodied bass and precise highs that are warm and natural. The element, boom, and sub-miniature connector are all easily hidden on the user's face. The boom position near the ear helps to eliminate breath pops and vocal plosives on the mic. The detachable cable terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Line 6 XD-V55, XD-V70L, XD-V75, G50, G55, or G90 bodypack transmitters.

The E2 Earset redefines pure sound in a virtually invisible package. It offers better ease of use than a lavalier or podium microphone.

There are two aspects of the E2 design that make it possible to capture sound so far away from the mouth: strong off-axis rejection and precisely tuned frequency response. For on-axis interference, the frequency response tuning in the connector of the E2 allows you to fully capitalize on the proximity boosting effect of the mic to achieve even stronger isolation in the voice band.

Like the connector for the industry-standard E6, the connector for the E2 is built tougher and more water resistant than previous models.

Standard gain, for speaking and vocals.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Has anyone used these microphones for sound reinforcement in a small courtroom?

A: We have customers who have used these microphones in courtrooms and municipal meetings with great success..The microphone is designed to be placed flat on a conference table, features a unidirectional pickup pattern with a pickup area of +/- 45. The design is also impervious to noise caused by Radio Frequency Interference (RFI), so it can used with confidence around other wireless equipment, cell phones, Bluetooth devices, etc.

Q: 2. what kind of devices can I plug my atr-1100 microphone into?

A: The Audio Technica ATR 1100 is a dynamic handheld mic that requires no power in order to operate and can be connected to almost any device that accepts a 1/8 or 1/4 mic jack. This includes PA systems, camcorders, voice recorders, etc.

Q: 3. Will this headset work with iPhones?

A: i don't think so

Q: 4. Is the microphone mono or stereo?

A: This is a mono microphone. It is a single channel.

Q: 5. I have a JVC GY-HM170UA camera and bought this microphone, but the camera does not recognize, all possible tests and still the same. Can anybody help me?

A: The Panasonic AG-MC200G requires 48 volts phantom power to operate. The camera must be set to the MIC+48 setting to power the mic correctly. If you are having issues with your purchase, please feel free to contact a Sales Representative here by phone at 800-606-6969 or email audio@bandh.com for assistance

Q: 6. Need foam windscreen for this mic, which one do I get?

A: I use the one that came with the mic

Q: 7. How is this microphone powered? I'm thinking of a microphone that I can connect to a hand-held digital recorder so that I can capture the comments from a guide in the front of a bus when I'm sitting farther back in the bus in Israel during a two week trip, and I don't think that my recorder does 48 volts.

A: The AG-MC200G uses +48V phantom power and feature a standard XLR output. It cannot work with a device that does not supply + 48V phantom power.

Q: 8. I have a Canon r600 camcorder, does this mic require Phantom power or does it use batteries as i am unsure if the port allows for Phantom power.

A: This is a dynamic handheld mic that requires no phantom power.

Q: 9. How does this differ from my mic150 shotgun mic?

A: The Panasonic MIC150 has a frequency response of 80 Hz to 16 kHz whereas the Panasonic AG-MC200G has a frequency response of 160 Hz to 20 Hz.

Q: 10. how would this compare to MKE 600 or AT875R ?

A: In terms of specifications, the three mics do have differences in the way they perform, how they are powered, as well as in their physical size and features. The Panasonic AG-MC200G Unidirectional Microphone is 6.38" (162 mm) long and has a frequency response range of 160 Hz to 20 Hz, a maximum sound pressure level of 127 dB, a sensitivity level of -40 dB at 1 kHz, a signal-to-noise ratio of 69 dB, and operates using phantom power. The Audio-Technica AT875R Short Shotgun Microphone is 6.89" (175 mm) long and has a frequency response range of 90 Hz to 20 kHz, a maximum sound pressure level of 127 dB, a sensitivity level of -30 dB at 1 kHz, a signal-to-noise ratio of 74 dB, and operates using phantom power. The Sennheiser MKE 600 Shotgun Microphone is a longer mic that can operate using either phantom power or a single AA battery and it has a selectable low-cut filter at 100 Hz to roll off low-frequency noise from common sources such as air conditioners and traffic. The MKE 600 is 10.08" (256 mm) long and it has a frequency response range of 40 Hz to 20 kHz, a maximum sound pressure level of 132 dB when using phantom power and 126 dB when using battery, a sensitivity level of 21 mV/Pa with phantom power and 19 mV/Pa with battery power, and a signal-to-noise ratio of 79 dB with phantom power and 78 dB with battery power. The frequency response range is the output range for the audio that the mic is able to reproduce and the maximum sound pressure level is the level of the loudest sounds that the mic can reproduce. The sensitivity rating is the amount of output gain for the input (a higher negative number indicates that the mic is less sensitive than a mic with a lower negative number), and the signal-to-noise ratio is the level of the desired sound compared to the unwanted noise (a higher number indicates a stronger audio signal with less noise).

How many times have you looked through your portfolio and said Man, I wish I could remember where that was taken ? We do a lot of old barns, abandoned buildings, waterfalls, etc., and this is the tool to answer that question. Many times you may want to shoot at the same location again during different seasons and need to know how to get there. This thing is a lightweight piece that fits right on the hotshoe and encodes your EXIF data with everything needed to cruise right back to the spot the picture was taken. ( even which way you were facing ). Interfaces with all mapping software and easy to set up in the camera settings. Only three negatives on this one: A little too expensive as is true with all Canon gear, Battery Life could be longer, and it takes a little getting use to having something on the hotshoe all the time. Have used it about two weeks and love it.

I use mine on 70D, 80D, EOSM and EOSM2. Has always worked very well. I use it on all my photo trips to help me find precise locations when I'm editing. My first one disappeared when I was out shooting last fall, dang! , but after thinking about it, I bought another one to replace it. Very happy with it. Works well with rechargeable batteries. Battery consumption is low and lasts several days, usually. It's small, don't let if fall out of your pocket...

Have only used it mounted on the hot shoe, and logging directly to photos. I'm a GIS Professional; accuracy is important to me, and this is good. It does add height to the camera, making insertion into my bag a bit more challenging, but while using it my camera is generally in my hand.

If you want to geo tag your photos this is the perfect way. Slip it on the hot shoe, turn the GPS function on in your camera and you are all set. Different cameras take different units so be sure to check for compatibility. Make sure your camera has the GPS functionality.

I like to geotag my photos, and having an external GPS receiver is great because it doesn't use the camera's battery. I have a Canon 6D, and the battery drains pretty quick when using it with GPS on; however it lasts a lot longer when I use this device which is externally powered. It also works great on a camera with no GPS, such as the 70D.

I was on the fence about this. Didn't know if I would really use it much but I love this. I chase storms and with having to drive and go I some times forget where I took my shot with this that will never happen. The build quality is really good and it's not too big mounted on the hot shoe. I have found a few places will auto load the gps data 500px & flickr. Zenfolio and Facebook do not but you can always manually input the data. It's easy to use if you own a 5D Mark III buy this.

I was looking to add GPS coordinates to my photos on my Canon 5D Mark III. This works seamlessly. I really do not use to logging option but just to get GPS data imbedded in my metadata. It's weather sealed, non-obtrusive and I am please with. It does come at a price. But if you want to add GPS coordinates to your photos, these seems like the way to go rather than 3rd party options.

Very good product Geotagging works perfectly as a simple iPhone All new collected details appear in iPhoto In addition the log Fonction allow you to follow your track on several days. Autonomy is good 1,5 LR6 in 5 days! However map utility needed to follow the log files and review the trip didn't work on iMac But on a PC it was ok!!!! Enjoy!
