The Skirt Set for CS-65D Lantern Softbox from Godox is designed to limit and modify the very wide beam spread of the lantern. The image-maker can use 1, 2, 3, or all of the skirts to create a light-to-dark ratio of light. When hung overhead with all four skirts, the lantern outputs a soft circle of light on the floor of the set.

A: No, that light is not designed to be used with a softbox.

Q: 7. Hi, I"m getting confused about which Triolet speed ring to get for the Chimera pancake lantern (BH #CHLPLBSM • MFR #1865). Is it this one ? (BH #CHT2POP • MFR #9950OP). The pancake seems to have 4 pins - but these are "Octo" speed rings. Thanks

A: You can still use the Chimera Triolet Flood Light with Octaplus Speed Ring (120 VAC), B&H # CHT2POP in 4 rod points only with this Lantern.

A: Yes, I use Chimera Triolet with 9890QR Quick Release Speed Ring.

I thought the Impact Boom Arm was my favorite piece of kit before I met the Lantern Softbox. The ease of setup is so amazing - just press it into the ground and hook it to the internal rod and Voila!, you have an instant softbox ready to go in 10 seconds. No fumbling with umbrella holders and trying to not destroy the umbrella before getting it into position. This is so simple and such a great engineering design. My only wish was that there was a discounted two-pack so I could have saved a few dollars. Who knows, maybe they'll listen to their fans over there at Godox!!! 5

Was very excited to use it when it arrived, I built a quick lighting setup (attached the godox to my nanlite fs-300b) and I was VERY satisfied with how soft the light was. And I was very pleased with how slim it was, allowed me to put another large diffuser in front of it. Great results for how much I paid. The images attached are stills from a video I took with an anamorphic lens and my LUMIX S5IIX 5
