The 4-stop, 67mm Freewell Magnetic Quick-Swap Soft-Edge Graduated Neutral Density Filter helps to darken specific areas of an image, such as bright skies, while allowing for a normal, unaffected exposure in the other regions of the image. The filter is densest at the edge and tapers to clear by the middle, with a soft-edged line of transition between the dense and clear areas. A neutral density filter with a soft-edged line of transition is particularly useful for images that do not have a strongly defined transition between the sky and the foreground. An included Freewell 67mm UV Filter allows the graduated neutral density filter to be used on a lens with 67mm front filter threads.

Each surface of the Freewell 67mm Magnetic Quick-Swap Soft-Edge Graduated Neutral Density 1.2 Filter and the Freewell 67mm UV Filter is multi-coated to help eliminate internal ghosting and reflections. The Freewell 67mm Magnetic Quick-Swap Soft-Edge Graduated Neutral Density 1.2 Filter and the Freewell 67mm UV Filter are also coated for resistance to oil, dust, and scratches, offering greater protection to the filters and helping them to stay clean for longer than with uncoated filters. The coatings are also hydrophobic, resulting in an improved beading effect when in contact with water for greater cleaning efficiency. The Freewell 67mm Magnetic Quick-Swap Soft-Edge Graduated Neutral Density 1.2 Filter also includes 67mm front threads, permitting the use of screw-on filters with 67mm rear threads.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is the base magnetic hollow ring included? Is the magnetic cap included?

A: Th Freewell 82mm Magnetic Quick-Swap Circular Polarizer Filter includes the magnetic cap.

Q: 2. Will a lens hood still fit while using this filter? For example, the Nikon 24-70 uses the HB-87 lens hood. Will it fit?

A: Yes, the Nikon HB-87 Bayonet Lens Hood will fit with the Freewell M2 Magnetic Quick Swap ND1000 Filter (82mm, 10-Stop) is on the NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S lens.

Q: 3. Is the glass for the CPL supposed to rattle inside the circular frame ? Because mine does..

A: While the filter may not be designed to rattle, circular polarizer filters are made of moving parts. It may be the retaining spring holding the glass in the filter may be loose, or another moving part may cause some rattle. That being said, if you are not happy with your filter or you feel your filter may be defective, do note you have 30 days from the date of purchase to return your filter for an exchange or refund.

Q: 4. How much vignetting can one expect while using both ND and CPL on Canon RF 50mm f1.2?

A: The Kase 77mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II will not vignette a 50mm lens when stacking 2 filters.

Q: 5. Can you use a step-down adapter to use larger filters on lenses with smaller thread sizes (e.g.82mm filter on 67mm thread lens)?

A: To use the Kase 72mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II on a 67mm size lens you can use this adapter: https://bit.ly/3U27oO8

Q: 6. Will this work with the Nikkor Z 14-24 f2.8 S lens hood?

A: Yes this would be compatible as long as you have this item: https://bhpho.to/3kQReoh

Q: 7. Using a Zeiss Milvus 15mm: the lens has a 95mm filter size and 110* angle of view. Will the 95mm filter kit vignette or should I consider the next size up with a step-up ring?

A: There is always some vignetting when using ultra wide lenses with front ND filters. Whether or not the amount is acceptable to you will depend on your personal preference. However, given the distance between the front element of that specific lens and the edge of the front of the lens where the filter threads are, I would not expect such vignetting to be a result of the rim of the filter. Rather, it would be due to the angle of the entry of light and the fact that it has to go through the filter somewhat sideways. Again, this is normal with ultra wide angle lenses.

Q: 8. Is the UV filter included here?

A: No, there is no UV filter included. Just the polarizer.

Q: 9. Can a lens hood be used with the Sony 24-70 GM II?

A: Yes. The following filter system allows a end-user to still us e there lens hoods.

Q: 10. So this is not a CPL? In the first picture it clearly indicates it is CPL but everything else in the listing including the title suggests that it's an ND filter and not a Circular Polarizer Linear lens filter.

A: This is not a CPL, it is a solid ND. I will email the webmaster to double check on the photo.
