The tan B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Standard Sensitivity, with Detachable cH-Style 4-Pin Connector for Audio Technica Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter. It can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, house of worship, and general lavalier applications.

This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as in presentations or sermons. Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in a performer's hair or on costumes, ties, or behind a shirt button. It can also be attached to eyeglasses, for a secure, discreet, and convenient alternative to hair miking. The ultrathin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's aramid-reinforced cable terminates to a cH-style 4-pin connector for direct connection to Audio Technica ATW-3201 wireless bodypack transmitters.

Additionally, the included swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with a protective cap, which can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Standard, for most uses.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Not clear from the two different answers given so far. Is it possible to have the two mics output separately as L and R audio channels?

A: Yes it is possible as It is switchable, so you can have one in each channel (mono) or stereo.

Q: 2. Hello, can I use this headset for recording songs as a singer using either an Android cellphone or an iPad? Thank you in advance.

A: This headset will not connect to a mobile phone.

Q: 3. I have a BPHS1 that came with an 4 pin XLR female cable. I'm trying to get it to run into a Zoom H6 handy recorder. Is there an adapter that can do 4 pin XLR male to 3 pin XLR male for use with the Zoom? Will I be able to record with the microphone and hear through the headphones?

A: The 4-pin version of the broadcast headset is for a communications system. The best and most cost effective solution is to change out the cable with the appropriate model, which is the Audio-Technica BPCB1 Replacement Cable for BPHS1, BH #AUBPCB1. The headphone connection would then need to be adapted for the Zoom H6, with a Hosa Technology GMP112 Male Stereo 3.5mm Mini to Female Stereo 1/4" Phone Adapter, BH #HOASMMSPF.

Q: 4. Currently we have circular grommets that fit old microphone mounts. Will these new mounts fit our current grommet holes?

A: XLR inputs are a standard size so the grommets you have should fit into the circular holes. It is difficult to determine whether there may be any difference in the thickness of the plate on your old mic mounts to know whether or not the grommets you have will match the thickness of the plate on this mount. But there is a good chance that they can be a match.

Q: 5. What's the length of the mic cable?

A: The cable is just under 4' long.

Q: 6. Do these mics need phantom power? I didn't think so, but it won't work with our passive unpowered phone hybrids.

A: Just as Henry H. explained, the mic on the headset is dynamic, so it ould not require phantom power. I use my headset with a small Behringer mixer with phantom power turned off and it works fine. You probably have tried this, but I would suggest making sure your trim and/or gain is turned up because I have found that some mixers resist the signal significantly more than others.I would also suggest listening back with another headset or loudspeaker that you know will work just in case there is a headphone out setting or bad output you are unaware of.

Q: 7. Do they make a rack mount kit for these units? Can you mount 2 of then side by side or should I just mount them on a1 RU shelf?

A: Yes, the Audio-Technica ATW-1312/L System 10 PRO Dual-Channel Digital Wireless Combo Lavalier & Handheld Microphone System comes with rackmount hardware and a joining bar for connecting two ATW-RU13 receivers side by side.

Q: 8. Can I use it with a usb cable?

A: No. This headset has no USB capibilities.

Q: 9. Is this battery powered or externally powered? One review mentions changing the battery ("required needle-nose pliers"); but the specs here say "Power Requirements = 2-10VDC plug-in power". So which is it?

A: According to the Audio-Technica page for the Pro 24-CM underneath the "Features" tab; You can use it with an LR44 battery in microphone inputs that are not equipped with plugin power. Or, you can use it without the LR44 battery with microphone inputs that are equipped with mic plugin power. https://www.audio-technica.com/cms/wired_mics/97a500a93cd279a8/index.html

Q: 10. How can i know what kind of off brand lavalier microphone can be screwed in this transmitter?

A: The Comica Audio CVM-WM200C PRO transmitter is compatible with lavalier microphones which have Sennheiser-style locking connectors.
