Designed for the B10, B10 Plus, and B1X, the Profoto 10° OCF II Grid narrows the approximately 77° beam spread of the fixture for selective lighting. The grid attaches magnetically to the OCF II Barndoor or the OCF II Grid and Gel Holder and can easily be stacked with OCF II gels. Great for a hair light or accent light, this grid creates the narrowest beam spread of the grids that Profoto offers. There are also wider 20 and 30° grids available.

A: Profoto OCF modifiers are not designed to be used on D series flashes.

A: This unit is for Profoto gels only and does not have a generic gel ring.

A: The first and second generation gels should be compatible.

Q: 6. Aren't D1/D2 the "OCF" too? They seem have the same body as Bx has. Unfortunately there aren't the same accessories marked as "suitable for Dx". Marks are either "for Bx" or "for all OCF monolights". Just want to know which holder and gel kits to buy for my D2 monolights.

A: For your D-2 you don't use any OCF accessories at all as it's unsafe. The modelling lamp will burn up these accessories in no time and it's a real life fire hazard.

Q: 7. Will this work on a Profoto B1?

A: This would fit on a B1, B1x, B10 and B10 Plus.

Q: 8. Does this work with the original OCF gel kit?

A: This item does work with the original OCF gel kit.

Q: 9. I've heard that Profoto modifiers fit the Fiilex P360. Is it true?

A: Not really. The following light shaping tools will fit on the Fiilex P360 but will not be a true fit to the item as the following light shaping tools are made and propriety to profoto system.

Q: 10. Do I have to buy the Profoto OCF II Gel Ring in addition to the Holder or does the Gel Ring come with it?

A: The Profoto ocf ll Grid and Gell Holder is availble as a kit BH# pr10126 for $99.00.

This not only directs the light, it softens it substantially. It works almost as well as my soft box, but is infinitely easier to use. I use pro foto's magnetic light modifiers on my Fiilex lights because they fit perfectly and they make everything much easier to use and carry. There's a couple of other grids as well, but I like this one best for directing and softening the light. 5
