Countryman B2d Directional Lavalier Mic, Standard Gain, With Hardwired Ta4f Connector Cable For Shure Wireless Transmitters (light Beige)
- Product Code: ga81468
-
The light beige B2D Directional Lavalier Mic, Standard Gain, with Hardwired TA4F Connector Cable for Shure Wireless Transmitters from Countryman features a lightweight 0.18-ounce body that was designed to be discreetly mounted and can be used for miking news anchors, actors in a film or theater setting, lecturers in a school or house of worship type environment.
The B2D's tight hypercardioid pattern gives the mic an extra 6-10 dB of headroom compared to an omnidirectional lavalier mic, which means less problems with feedback, ambient noise, room rumble, and phase cancellations when using multiple microphones.
This version offers the highest gain for general chest-worn applications such as presentations or sermons. In addition, the B2D lavalier is equipped with a hardwired cable that terminates to a TA4F connector for direct connection to Shure AD1, ADX1, AXT100TA4F, GLXD1, PGXD1, QLXD1, and ULXD1 wireless bodypack transmitters.

With its small size and sensitivity options, the B2D can easily hide behind a shirt button. This makes it invisible for film work, theater, live shows, or any other application.
Natural vocal reproduction and a tight polar pattern make the B2D ideal for broadcast and is a dependable workhorse you can count on to perform night after night.
The isolation clips minimize clothing and vibration noise while allowing 360° of rotation for easy positioning of the microphone.
This microphone is tuned to a frequency response that is natural and intelligible at a wide range of distances from the mouth. It delivers wonderful sound quality on the chest (8-10" from the mouth) or towards the collar (3-4").
Standard (gray band) for most uses
Related Questions and Answers
Q: 1. what wireless label microphones would work well with this receiver?
A: The Shure SM58 wireless microphones with H9: 512 - 542 MHZ work excellent with this receiver.
Q: 2. does shure BLX88 mix sounds from the dual XLR inputs?
A: No. There is no mixer functionality.
Q: 3. How long is the cord, what plug does it use?
A: The cable length is 51"/1.3m long, and it uses a TA4/mini-XLR-male cable connection.
Q: 4. what kind of adapter do I need to convert this to wired for use with the XLR inputs on my Zoom H4 recorder?
A: The Shure Wired TwinPlex Microphone Preamp with Belt Clip (TA4F to XLR) (BH #SHRPM400TQG) is recommended to convert the TA4F connector on the Shure CVL Centraverse Cardioid Lavalier Microphone to XLR for use with XLR input connections: https://bhpho.to/3QsFd6O
Q: 5. Can this system be upgraded to a multi-channel system?
A: The BLX series is offered as a single or dual channel system only. There is no way to upgrade a single channel system, however multiple single systems can be purchased for a multi-user system.
Q: 6. Hı , can this microphone be connected to Asio sound interface to record directly to computer?
A: Unfortunately no, because this microphone uses a TA4F connector, it is meant to be specifically hooked up to a Shure wireless body pack that accepts this type of connector. There are ways around this, but I would suggest using a different microphone that has a standard TRS or XLR connector.
Q: 7. Would this work with a DSLR?
A: You would not be able to directly plug in this mic to a DSLR because the connector is TA4F, which is intended for connecting to a Shure wireless bodypack. For utilizing a lavalier mic such as this in a video application, we would recommend using this mic in conjunction with a portable wireless solution such as the Shure FP15 wireless system. The lavalier would be plugged into the transmitter bodypack and worn by the talent on camera, while the receiver bodypack would be connected to your DSLR or a field mixer. This would also eliminate the issue of the on-camera talent having to be tethered to the camera by the lavalier's cable and would allow for free range of movement as well as a more appropriate shooting distance.
Q: 8. Will this microphone work with the Shure Beta inline xlr preamp using phantom power?
A: Yes, it is compatible.
Q: 9. Will this work with the DJI Mic 2 system?
A: The Shure CVL Centraverse Cardioid Lavalier Microphone cannot be used with the DJI Mic 2 2-Person Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System/Recorder for Camera & Smartphone (2.4 GHz), the connector is a mini-XLR and the DJI Mic2 system requires a 3.5mm connector.
Q: 10. can this microphone work with external voice recorders such as Zoom h1n?
A: No, the Shure CVL Centraverse Cardioid Lavalier Microphone is not compatible for direct connection to the Zoom H1n Portable Handy Recorder. The CVL has a TA4F (4-pin mini-XLR female) connector and the input on the recorder is 3.5mm TRS. In order to use the CVL, you would need to use the Shure Wired TwinPlex Microphone Preamp with Belt Clip - TA4F to XLR (B&H # SHRPM400TQG) together with a phantom power supply such as the Xvive Audio P1 Portable Phantom Power Supply with Rechargeable Battery (B&H # XVP1), and an XLR female to 3.5mm TRS male cable like the Kopul XRSM 3-Pin XLR Female to 3.5mm RA Stereo Mini-Plug Cable - 1.5' (B&H # KOXRSM015B).
