A: According to testing from the manufacturer, Smith-Victor states that the Smith-Victor LadyBug LED Light has a tungsten output equivalent of a 500W tungsten fixture. There is no way to convert wattage into brightness or light output (wattage is a measurement of power, not brightness), and while you cannot compare LED wattage to tungsten wattage, the Smith-Victor LadyBug LED Light should be the rough equivalent of a 500W tungsten light fixture.

Q: 8. I see that the light is dimmable. Is it in steps (how manay) or continuously down to 0%?

A: The MFR says the power switch is also the dimming control. From off to full power in smooth adjustments.

Q: 9. Can you power this and control brightness from a standard dimmer pack?

A: oops, the picture shows a dimmer box that looks like an AC-to-DC converter, so probably not

My lower collar broke in two on a shoot. Thought I was going to have to order a new light stand. With a little research I found just what I needed on B&H. Seriously took only minutes to repair. Now my stand is just like new. Pretty much universal for all stands. Fits most! 5

This collar replaces the top collar for the telescoping poles of a standard light stand. The tightener on this replacement collar is a little bulkier than the original one I was replacing but it works. The build quality of this is not as nice as the collars that came on the light stand but it is not terrible. I needed a quick replacement for a broken collar on one of my light stands, since I had to purchase a few other things from B&H anyway I was able to add this on for a few dollars on an order that already had free shipping. Installation: Took less than 4 minutes to remove old broken collar and replace with this one. All you need is a phillips screw driver. 5
