The white B6 Omnidirectional Lavalier Microphone, Standard Sensitivity, with Hardwired 3.5mm Locking Connector for Olympus, Roland, Sony, Tascam, Yamaha, or Zoom Portable Recorders from Countryman is a very small lav microphone measuring one tenth of an inch in diameter. It can be used to capture audio for theater, broadcast, house of worship, and general lavalier applications.

This version offers the highest gain for general speaking such as in presentations or sermons. Built with a low handling noise and rugged construction, the B6 lavalier microphone can be easily hidden in a performer's hair or on costumes, ties, or behind a shirt button. It can also be attached to eyeglasses, for a secure, discreet, and convenient alternative to hair miking. The ultrathin diaphragm deliver a natural sound while its tiny size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection. The B6's aramid-reinforced cable terminates to a 3.5mm locking connector for direct connection to Olympus, Roland, Sony, Tascam, Yamaha, or Zoom DM-420, DM-520, DM-620, DS-2400, DS-40, DS-51, DS-61, DS-71, LS-10, LS-14, R05, R09HR, PCM-D50, PCM-M10, DR-05, DR-07mkII, DR-08, PR-10, Pocketrak C24, Pocketrak W24, H1, H2, and H2n portable recorders.

Additionally, the included swappable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with a protective cap, which can be quickly removed for cleaning or replacement.

Looks great when you want to see it, virtually disappears when you don't. The B6 is easily hidden in hair or on costumes, with five colors to match clothing, hair, and skin tones. Use a felt tip marker to color the white caps for near-perfect concealability. Never suffer the hassle and degraded sound quality of under-clothing miking again.

The B6 is resistant to makeup, sweat, and moisture when used with the supplied protective caps and works well in hair or on the body. The protective caps are easily removed for cleaning or replacement, and the aramid-reinforced cable gives it world-class survivability.

The B6 provides high-quality audio with low distortion at SPL up to 140 dB on 48V phantom power. The aramid cable and thin diaphragm combine to offer low handling noise. The flat-frequency response accurately captures voice or instruments, and the small size makes the B6 easy to position for ambient noise and feedback rejection.

Changeable protective caps let you shape the frequency response for different situations or to match other microphones. Versions are available for different speaking or singing styles, with high overload capability for recording instruments.

Standard, for most uses.

Q: 1. Can I jam sync timecode to it ?

A: David,No you cannot.a href= http://tascam.com/product/dr-10l/ target= _blank http://tascam.com/product/dr-10l//aThank you for your interest in TASCAM products.

Q: 2. How can I monitor audio if someone is wearing the microphone?

A: Or you could hook up a inexpensive tiny Bluetooth transmitter to it and use any Bluetooth headset up to 50-100ft away. Even the person on can could do this. Keep one earbud in.

Q: 3. This BWAV file, does it playback on Mac's? WAV file itself does not on my Mac and I'm unfamiliar with BWAV file. Trying to use it for FCP 7.

A: The Macintosh's QuickTime Player should handle both BWAV and WAV files.Thank you for your interest in TASCAM products.

Q: 4. If a DJ wants to mic up a pastor for a wedding ceremony with a lav. And I wish to also mic up the pastor for the ceremony with this lav, do I need to worry about interference? I was under the impression that since this records on an SD there should be no interference.

A: No, you should not have any issues with interference while recording with the Tascam DR-10L and another lavalier microphone, whether it is wireless or wired. It is also possible to use two separate wireless lavalier microphone systems at the same time without issues, depending on the frequency band that each system operates within. Please contact us by phone or through live chat on the website if you have additional questions or need further assistance.

Q: 5. Can you pair more than one unit per laptop? I have conference table for 10 and would like to place one on each end.

A: Per the user manual, this product does not "pair" to a computer but rather connects via USB - it will pair with smartphones. You should consider the Jabra Speak 710 that you can use multiple speakerphones the way you describe.

Q: 6. I'm teaching a class via Zoom. The students are in a classroom. I am remote. They have a projector so they can see me or the documents I share. But the mic on the laptop isn't very good and I have a hard time hearing them. If we plugged this into the laptop via USB and put it in front of the class would that give us some improvement?

A: Yes, this speakerphone will certainly improve any classroom situation and bolter the input and output of any laptop.

Q: 7. Could I use this as a microphone to listen better in the room I'm in?

Q: 9. I hear tons of environmental noise in my recordings. I can hear people's conversations that is more than 10feet away. The lav was underneath my shirt close to my throat. Anyway to lessen the environmental noise? Thank you!

A: Sadly you may have to buy a better lav. I use a Sennheiser MKE2 with this unit and I'm getting excellent results. Keep in mind that almost all lavs are omnidirectional so they will pick up more than just your voice. However you can buy unidirectional lavs as well which may be the answer to your issue. You will just have to make sure the lav is always pointed towards your mouth. Sennheiser, Countryman, DPA and Lectrosonics all make great lavs that should work for you.

Q: 10. The specs say the USB port is Type-A, but it looks like micro Type-A. Can anyone confirm?

A: At the unit it is micro USB-B at the computer it is USB-A.
