Hudson Spider has put together this Redback Deluxe Kit which includes modifiers that will give the image-maker the expansive functionality of this unique system.

At the core of the kit is the "Spider", a 6-panel fixture that measures 37" in diameter in parabolic mode or 50" when opened flat. The light's ballast will give you a color range from 2600 to 6500K with a very high CRI of 98 as testament to its superior color rendition. The light also dims from 0 to 100% and while you can make adjustments to color and brightness locally on the fixture, you can also make them remotely via DMX. Magic and 1/2-stop grid diffusers (36") are supplied to take the edge off the bright LEDs, while an included TEASER acts like a large barndoor to block the light from one side of the Spider. Additionally, a 50° fabric grid is supplied for selective lighting. The appropriate cables are included to connect the light to the ballast and a 72" umbrella by Westcott is part of the kit. A hard case from SKB is included for storage and transport.

A: Yes, you can combine Spider Camera Holster Spider X Holster & Camera Plate Set with Spider Camera Holster SpiderPro Hand Strap. You can attach the starp to the camera and instead of using the mounting screw provided with the wrist starp, connect the camera plate on top.

Q: 4. Will this work for regular non Photo belts? Can you clip it to pants waistband if no belt (i.e. tux or dress pants?)

A: I shoot real estate and put the clip on the pocket of my shorts. It works great and makes for very easy and fast access to a speedlight. But, the edges are a bit sharp and will cut the fabric after a lot of use. (I might try a little electrical tape on the sharp edges to protect my shorts.) No belt is required for my purposes and it works very well.

Q: 5. The load capacity for this tripod is 19.8lbs. Is this still true if the center column is fully extended in the 90 degree horizontal position?

A: I had exactly the same question so I asked Manfrotto directly, here is there response...Don, thank you for your enquiry. The MT055XPRO3 tripod max load is 9 kg in its upright position. There is an assumption that when the centre column is repositioned horizontally, the column is usually centered across the tripod. This does not change the max load. if you are extending the column as far as possible to one end, it is suggested to reduce the max load to 2-3 kg. This calculation includes the weight of the head and camera equipment together. Please keep in mind the centre of gravity has shifted off significantly, therefore it will be necessary to add counterbalance. The 405 geared head can be attached to the MT055XPRO3 tripod centre column,. the top of the column has a 3/8 fixing thread which is compatible with the threaded bottom of the head. A: Hi Justin,Thank you.. As you may know, leather comes in many variants (some not leather at all, some textured, some smooth) it would be impossible for us to vouch for this kind of connection.. The idea behind the Spider Monkey tabs is to attach directly to the object, (not it's case) and so to have a quick-action release and secure carry. A: This kit is recommended for camera and lens cleaning. The only accessory recommended for sensor cleaning on this kit is the Bulb Air Blower. The brush can be used in certain spots on your camera and lenses where dust or residues have accumulated. The solution, cleaning cloth, wipes, lens pen, and blower could be used on the optics, viewfinder, and camera LCD.
