A: I had the 35mm version of this lens fall apart. The internal mechanisms are plastic. There are no spare parts available for purchase and Rokinon will not do repairs on their cheaper line of lenses. The markings are also on both sides for pulling focus. The $279 lens is the first version which is great cinema glass in a photography housing,and not quite optimized for video but still usable. The DS $399 is a better attempt to make it more video/ cinematography friendly, The xeen with is the same lens, made directly to target cinematography. Hope that helps.
