Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What’s the perfect cinema lens for canon t7?

A: The lens that is listed on this page, which is and 85mm, would be a great choice for a Telephoto lens with the T7. You would want to pair it with something wider, like the Rokinon 24mm T1.5 Cine DS Lens for Canon EF Mount, BH #RO2415C. https://bhpho.to/2uPswxt

Q: 2. Has anyone had this lens fall apart? If so, can it be repaired or better to replace?

A: I had the 35mm version of this lens fall apart. The internal mechanisms are plastic. There are no spare parts available for purchase and Rokinon will not do repairs on their cheaper line of lenses. I was able to open up the lens and glue the broken plastic pieces back together and it works perfectly again.

Q: 3. I am pairing the Vazen 28mm with the Red Komodo. The image is amazing. I am looking to purchase diopters to assist in tight shots. Which do you suggest?

A: The Vazen 28mm lens supports 77mm filters and the following Diopters would work. https://bhpho.to/3dDZl6U

Q: 4. Is there focus confirm with the Nikon F mount?

A: There is not, but that is because this is a Cinema Style Lens which is fully manual for focus. It does not have any auto focus capability.

Q: 5. How is the feeling when hand focusing with the gear? I plan on hooking up a follow focus, but not always

A: Focusing by hand is very intuitive and smooth with the Rokinon 85mm T1.5 Cine DS Lens, the gears make it very easy to grip as well.

Q: 6. What is the diferrence between this rokinon lens labeled in $399 and the same rokinon 85mm t1.5 labeled in $279?

A: The difference is more on the technical side, the more expensive version, the DS has better coating on the glass similar to the xeen ( same lens in cinema lens housing). The markings are also on both sides for pulling focus. The $279 lens is the first version which is great cinema glass in a photography housing, and not quite optimized for video but still usable. The DS $399 is a better attempt to make it more video/ cinematography friendly, The xeen with is the same lens, made directly to target cinematography. Hope that helps.

Q: 7. Is this compatible for Sony fs7 without any adopters ?

A: Yes, this is an E-Mount lens which is compatible with the FS7.

Q: 8. Would this lens fit a canon EOS Rebel t2i?

A: Yes it absolutely will!

Q: 9. Hello, How is lens different from the other 85mm? # RO8515CThanks-Otto

A: The DS version features a multi layer coating in order to reduce flare. It also features markings in a more convenient location in order to view from both sides. Finally, the line is color checked in order to be used as a set.

Q: 10. Will these Cinema lenses work on a Z Cam E2 S6?

A: Yes, the model with the EF mount will work with this lens.
