The black I2 Bass and Cello Microphone Kit with TA3F Connector for Samson AL-300, CT3, CT7, T32, UT1L, UB7, CB99, VT2L, and VT3L Wireless Transmitters from Countryman is a mic that has been built from the ground up for smooth frequency response, low noise, and precise polar patterns with deep nulls and natural on- and off-axis response. It can be used to capture natural audio for this instrument.

The I2 microphone is suitable for distance miking that is invisible in front of audiences and on camera. This version features increased sensitivity for distance miking and captures detail for quieter instruments. Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the bass and cello mount, which sits securely behind the bridge with a positioning arm for placement. In addition, the 5' cable is hardwired to the mic and terminates with a TA3F connector for direct connection to Samson AL-300, CT3, CT7, T32, UT1L, UB7, CB99, VT2L, and VT3L wireless bodypack transmitters.

The I2 maintains excellent pattern control and frequency response at all angles. It offers uncolored recordings and reduced feedback issues.

Flexible close miking techniques are aided by the instrument mounts, which position securely and gently on the instrument for capturing audio.

Small size and sonic precision makes this microphone suitable for X-Y, M-S, and other techniques that rely on accurate, coincident positioning and consistent patterns.

The omnidirectional polar pattern picks up sound from all directions equally offering the flattest frequency response, lowest noise level, and is least susceptible to wind noise and vibration. It is recommended for recording and sound reinforcement of acoustic instruments such as percussion, guitar, saxophone, and piano.

Q: 1. I lost the USB stick receiver of this product. Am I able to buy it separately and if so, where?

A: You can purchase the USB receiver from the XPD2 system by itself. B&H has it available as the Samson Stage Series RXD2 Wireless USB Receiver - No Mic, No Transmitter (B&H # SASWRXD2USB). It is currently available in stock.

Q: 2. Does this transmitter have a Shure-compatible microphone input?

Q: 3. Will the SWXRDM1BLM7 work with powered OC speakers?

A: Hello, Thank you for contacting Samson Technologies. The receiver for the XPDm allows for connections into mixers/PA's that have either an 1/8 inch, 1/4 inch or XLR input. If your speakers have these connection inputs, this system will work for you! If you have any other questions or inquiries, please let me know at any time. Best Regards, James (Product Specialist)

Q: 4. Can this device be used as output as well or is it just audio input?

Q: 7. Hello: Max Microphones per Band 2. What does this mean? Can I use 3 Samson XPDm systems at the same time?

A: Under the specifications for "System" there is a spec for "Max Transmitters per Band" which lists "2". This means that a maximum of two Samson XPDm Digital Wireless Microphone Systems can be used at the same time within the 100-foot maximum operating range. So it is not possible to use more than two of the XPDm systems at the same time within a 100-foot range.

Q: 8. Can I change the wireless microphone frequencies?

A: No you cannot change the frequencies on the Samson Portable PA Kit.

Q: 9. How far away can the wireless mic be from the speaker before it loses signal?

Q: 10. Can I use a second speaker so that I can use one wireless mic to broadcast from both speakers?

A: The Samson Expedition XP106 Portable PA System with Wired Handheld Mic & Bluetooth can be paired with another speaker via cable using its "Line Out" 1/4" output connection.
