Warm Audio Foxy Tone Box Pedal For Fuzz Distortion

Warm Audio Foxy Tone Box Pedal For Fuzz Distortion
  • Product Code: ga82502

$447.00 $572.16

The Warm Audio Foxy Tone Box is a recreation of a well-regarded vintage fuzz pedal, a stompbox used by the likes of Billy Gibbons, Andrew Belew, and Peter Frampton. Use the Volume, Sustain, and Fuzz knobs to secure anything from a classic mellow fuzz tone to a biting, bright timbre. You'll also note a switch that engages a pronounced octavized effect, which is a sought-after sound in the world of fuzz.

All the components used in the pedals circuit are hand-assembled and designed to give you an authentic tone. The pedal makes use of NOS Fairchild germanium transisters to give you the pedal's trademark fuzz. The stompbox also boasts germanium diodes, high-watt carbon resisters, and film capacitors for the precise tonal response for which the original pedal is known and heralded. To keep your signal pristine when the pedal is disengaged, the Foxy Tone Box offers a true bypass circuit path. You can power the pedal with a 9V battery or by means of the included power adapter. This pedal doesn't only sound the part—it also looks the part, thanks to its evocative, orange velvet exterior.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does thr PSU attach to the back of the microphone? If not, what is the finned "box" shown in the pictures? Does the AC input use a standard IEC female plug? Thank you!

A: The finned box on the back of the Warm Audio WA-8000 Large-Diaphragm Multipattern Tube Condenser Microphone is an external cooling assembly that helps to maintain the optimal operating temperature for the 6AU6 tube and prevents the mic from overheating by allowing the heat from the tube to dissipate through the fins. The included external power supply unit does use a standard IEC cable with a female connector which is also included in the package along with a 7-pin microphone cable, a shockmount, and a hard shell carrying case.

Q: 2. switchable polarity?

A: The M-Audio SP-2 is is a universal pedal. The unit features a polarity switch for compatibility with all electronic keyboards.

Q: 3. will this splitter pass 120hz to both outputs?

A: Unfortunately, the manufacturer does not explicitly define this function and this product is not listed as a distribution amp, but a simple splitter. We would recommend consulting the product manufacturer for accurate verification.

Q: 4. Does it include adapters for RJ-11 AND RJ-45?

A: No it does not.

Q: 5. Well this product seems very interesting, I have a doubt to be cleared. I am planning to record from a microphone to two different recorder. Both of them have Phantom power. Will I be able to block phantom power to one recorder and supply phantom from only one providing to microphone as shown in the picture? Will the audio Quality will be the same. Actually one is recording with full effects and eq and another one is for just RAW vocal as backup and further processing if needed.

A: The only recorder that the phantom should be on is the one the mic is plugged into. Then feed the other recorder with the phantom block output.

Q: 6. Does this work on pc?

A: The 4-710D will not have a direct computer connection. Connection to a computer will require additional hardware such as a multi-channel audio interface. http://bhpho.to/1NPyu44

Q: 7. Would this be a good stereo-pair to stream Chorus concerts on YouTube?

A: The Warm Audio WA-14SP Large-Diaphragm Multipattern Condenser Microphone (Stereo Pair), B&H # WA14SP, could work very well for choral concert recording.

Q: 8. Is the impedance constant on the input side as you add more headphones/speakers to the outputs, or does the input need to be increased as more peripherals are added?

A: I bought two of these boxes to add additional two-channel outputs for connecting three digital recorders simultaneously from my mixer's main mix outputs. After connecting everything, I did not add additional input gain to the splitter boxes, but I did note that the three digital recorders required slightly higher recording levels than they did in their standalone configuration. Hope this helps!

Q: 9. Does this device allow two Bluetooth connections at the same time? Such as iPod and phone?

A: The Blackstar Tone:Link is only able to link with a single device at a time.

Q: 10. Does this come with Mini XLR to XLR cables/adapters?

A: So called "expert" is wrong. Says right on the Datavideo website: includes "2 x Mini XLR to male XLR cable"

This is my second keyboard sustain pedal, the first was a yamaha fc3 (or something of the like) I stole from my friend and he stole it back... So I had to find something comparable, but I didnt want to spend big bucks. Alas, for the price of next to nothing, I found the SP-2. Works equally as well. Why spend more? Furthermore, some of you have commented about how this sustain pedal doesnt feel true to touch or is delayed, any comments regarding a sustain pedal cutting out, or being oftime is more likely a cause of poorly built I/O or a undeperforming CPU. With any sustain pedal being more or less an On/Off percentage based switch (with very limited circuitry), this really shouldnt be an issue of the pedal. I have had no problems with the SP-2 and dont expect them. Nice job M-Audio!(or should I say AVID?).

Added this to a Yamaha 330 keyboard. It works perfect, is big and heavy so it doesn't slide around the floor, and the pedal is the same size as a real piano. Oh, and it was probably the cheapest one out there at $

This pedal does exactly what it was meant to do. It sustains. And it sustains well. It is an absolute necessity for a keyboard, in my opinion. I couldn't have lasted much longer without it! =) Oh, and the fact that it doesn't slip around on the wood floors is wonderful too!
