Ideal for instructors, presenters, worship leaders, and performers, the Samson Concert 88x Wireless Lavalier Microphone System with LM10 Miniature Lav offers an unobtrusive design, straightforward operation, and quality performance. It features a bodypack transmitter, the LM10 miniature lavalier mic, and a tabletop true-diversity receiver with XLR and 1/4" outputs and a rackmount kit.

With 100 available frequencies, simple syncing via IR, and one-touch automatic frequency scanning, you can quickly get started and find a strong channel. Two AA batteries (available separately) will power the microphone for up to eight hours, and the transmitter's power switch doubles as a handy mute function. The Concert 88x system is designed for easy setup and reliable operation. Its true-diversity design minimizes dropouts while tone key and auto mute functions prevent unwanted noise when the transmitter is off or out of range. By operating from 542 to 566 MHz in the UHF spectrum, it avoids interference from Bluetooth and Wi-Fi signals.

The low-profile LM10 miniature lavalier microphone is a condenser microphone with a 3mm capsule that provides outstanding audio reproduction and a lightweight clip design for inconspicuous/unobtrusive placement, making it perfect for presentation, fitness and other vocal applications in need of a low-visibility, hands-free audio solution.

The mic's omnidirectional polar pattern for consistent audio levels even when the talent turns away from the microphone.

The LM10 lav connects to the CB88 bodypack transmitter, which fits securely on the performer’s belt, waistband, or even in a pocket.

Two AA batteries (available separately) can power the transmitter for up to eight hours of operating time. Use the power switch to mute the mic between performances or turn it off for battery conservation.

Beneath the battery cover, you'll find a plastic screwdriver for adjusting the transmitter's input sensitivity. Generally avoid the maximum gain setting as it can cause distortion when the mic is used on loud sources.

The tabletop receiver includes a rackmount kit for easy installation in an equipment rack or road case. Its balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4" outputs enable proper hookup to mixers, audio recorders, and PA systems.

  • 100 operating channels across 25 MHz bandwidth
  • Up to eight systems can be used simultaneously per frequency band (region dependent)
  • 300' operating range (line of sight)
  • One-touch automatic frequency scan finds the best operating channel
  • Two-digit LED display on receiver
  • Infrared link locks the receiver and transmitter to the same channel

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. I see that the microphones are powered by AA batteries. What about the receiver? Can the receiver be run off of battery power, or does it need to be plugged into a wall outlet?

A: Hello, Thank you for contacting Samson Technologies. The receiver for this system runs off of a power supply that can connect into a wall outlet. This power supply is included within the unit. If you have any other questions or inquiries, please let me know at any time. Best Regards, James

Q: 2. Is there a way to get 2 of these and have them pair wirelessly to each other to have a Wireless Stereo PA system?

A: You can link 2 Samson Expedition XP310w speakers together using a wireless system for active PA speakers like B&H # ALSTEALTHWRL for example.

Q: 3. Why choose one frequency band over the other?

A: If you already have one of this system in Band K, then you would get your 2nd system in Band D to avoid the possibility of interference with your first system. If you do not already have one of these systems then it does not matter which frequency band you choose.

Q: 4. I bought this exact set 4 years ago and I use it every day in the classroom: Sept-June. Is it not supposed to last longer? Is 4 years its lifespan?

A: A wireless mic system like the Samson AirLine 88x Wireless Fitness Headset Microphone System can last longer than four years. If used every day, it is possible for a component to be damaged that could cause the system to stop working. Problems can occur with any wireless mic system and replacement parts may still be available for your system. If you are having a problem with your Samson AirLine system, please feel free to contact us by phone or through live chat on the website and we can help you to troubleshoot.

Q: 5. Will a heil capsule work on the handheld mic , using the base as the transmitter to the receiver for better bass solo sounds?

A: This will only work with the Samson capsule

Q: 6. Can this system expand to 16 microphones?

A: Yes, however: The receiver on this system is a single channel receiver (just like one radio receiver, it will only be able to "tune" into one radio station). This system accommodes/includes 16 channels that are available, individually to a single transmitter, choosing one of the 16 channels available on the receiver.. If 16 microphones are needed (0r any number from 2 up to 16), an additional system (another microphone with another transmitter) may be used in the same area.

Q: 7. Can you put this speaker on a stand? Does it have a mounting hole in the bottom of the unit?

A: Yes, the Samson Expedition XP310w-K: 470 to 494 MHz 10" 300W Portable PA System with Wireless Microphone can be mounted onto a speaker stand. The XP301w features a standard 1 3/8" speaker stand mount on its bottom for this purpose.

Q: 8. I see that the mics are powered by AA batteries. What about the receiver? Can the receiver run off of battery power, or does it have to be powered by an outlet?

A: Hello, Thank you for contacting Samson Technologies. The receiver for this system runs off of a power supply that can connect into a wall outlet. This power supply is included within the unit. If you have any other questions or inquiries, please let me know at any time. Best Regards, James

Q: 9. can both mics operate at the same time or does one have to be shut off for the other to work?

A: Both microphones in the Samson Expedition XP310w 10" 300W Portable PA System with Wireless Handheld and Lavalier Microphone Kit can be used simultaneously. The XP310w has two wireless receiver slots, one of which is empty upon purchase. This kit bundles a second wireless microphone and receiver for installation and use with the original speaker and microphone all at the same time, if desired.

Q: 10. Under diversity it says "Antenna Diversity, True Diversity" but it has just two antennas. So it is just true diversity when one channel is in use?

A: True diversity, as described with the Samson Concert 288 Presentation Dual-Channel Wireless Microphone System with 2 Headset Mics & 2 Lav Mics, infers that a receiver has dual antennae as well as dual internal chips to assess and choose the stronger antenna reception of an incoming signal. A dual channel receiver with independent internal diversity chips can still be considered true diversity for this reason.

These have become my preferred method for sticking a mic under the talent's shirt. I thread my Sanken through the sleeve, and tape the sleeve to the clothes...works great. Keeps the mic from rubbing, and they don't add any extra sound. They are a little big though, so I only use them when there's layers of clothing to hide it. It can be visible under a t-shirt.

These did exactly as I hoped: they eliminated noise on my lavs from brushing clothing and hair. Works well, and worth the price.
