Q: 1. This is the most confusing purchase. I have the 10.5" iPad Pro so the PT-Elite-V2 will fit it? Why doesn't Ikan make things easier for its customers and supply a simple compatibility sheet?

A: I do apologize for the inconvenience. The PT-ELITE-PRO2 can accept tablets that have a minimal size of 9" x 6" to a max size of 13" x 9". The Ipad Pro 10.5" dimensions are 9.8" x 6.8". You can use your Ipad Pro 10.5" with the teleprompter.

Q: 2. The specs show that this teleprompter can use a tablet of maximum size 12 x 9. Is that a hard number, or it is possible to fit one it that is a bit larger, such as 12.25 wide?

A: Sorry, but according to ikan, 12 is the maximum.

Q: 3. I need to replace the glass- is this possible?

Q: 4. How high does the camera need to sit off the rails? I'm interested in getting this to mount to Zacuto VCT Baseplate with a C200. Rather than mounting the camera to this rig. Any ideas or advice would be great!

A: Unfortunately we do not have a spec that lists how high the camera must be to work properly however I can say with confidence that the Zacuto VCT baseplate does not provide enough height to work with the teleprompter if you try to mount it without their baseplate. Perhaps if you used in conjunction with a riser clamp (or lower clamp in this case) you could configure it in a way where you do not have to remove your camera from the Zacuto VCT baseplate when using the teleprompter. Q: 5. will this work with newest ipad pro 12.9 ?

A: No, it will not. The new iPad Pro is actually 12.04 tall. It's that smidgen over that prevents me from being able to secure it from 4 sides on the prompter. I called iKan before buying and they said it would fit. It doesn't. Still, I use it secured on 2 sides and I know I can't do any cameras moves with it.

Q: 6. Can anyone recommend a case for this prompter? The dimensions I was given by iKan for the foam are 19.5 (L) x 15.5 (W) x 6.75 (D).... Any suggestions?

A: According to ikan, the Elite Pro will fit in this: SKB iSeries 1914N-8 Waterproof Utility Case with Dividers B&H # SK3I1914N8BD. They also caution not to throw away the foam that the teleprompter comes in. It provides a perfect fit with the 1914N-8.

Q: 8. Hi, I have strange question for anybody who has used this teleprompter... when it is all set up does it feel secure and tight? I am considering using this on a small jib setup (I'll be securing the tablet with tape and industrial use velcro) and I just want to know if it will wobble. Nothing to crazy with the jib, just slow arcs and pans. Thanks

A: I use the teleprompter regularly, it definitely fastens very securely, but i recommend having it fastened as intended to a shoe mount on a tripod, the whole unit is decently heavy, and i would not trust it to tape or velcro, especially not at it's price point to replace. lol

Q: 9. Does anyone experience ghosting with this prompter? I see one review identifies ghosting as a real problem but no one else has commented on it. Have you seen ghosting when using it?

A: Ghosting can occur with this prompter as the glass does not have an anti-reflection coating on the back of the glass. However, this can be avoiding by simply covering the camera and the back of the glass together under a black fabric, such as duvetyne, and this keep from ghosting happening on the cameras side of the glass.

Q: 10. I want to use this in a live sports environment with a Hitachi HDZ5000 camera. I'd like to mount the prompter on it's own tripod and move the Hitachi camera in behind the hood during pregame or at half time, and then back out to cover the game. Has anyone used it as a stand alone unit? Do you forsee any problems with this plan?

A: Sounds like a plan to us. We would think if you mounted this on a light stand, i.e. a support with one pole, that should pose no issue as far as saddling up with a video tripod on a dolly. If you use a tripod for the prompter, you may or may not have issues with getting the camera tripod close enough.
