Pinnacle Studio 24 Standard is a consumer-level Windows video editing software with six video/audio tracks and hundreds of creative effects, transitions, graphics, overlays, fonts, and title presets. It supports up to 1080p Full HD video and offers a simplified color correction toolset that lets you polish your videos with pro-style finishes. There's also a screen capture feature for creating YouTube tutorials and other demos and presentations.

Other key features include a new title editor, stop-motion animation, 2-camera multicam editing, royalty-free music and sound effects, and much more. A slideshow maker and themed templates and video montages are provided for quickly creating projects with photos, video, and sound to display to your audience. Studio 24 Standard also supports optional 3D LUTs, which are looks presets that can substantially enhance your videos with various cinematic looks. (Many LUTs can be downloaded for free online from trusted sources.) Various project types can be exported directly to social media, while you can also export to DVDs with chapters and menus. Blu-ray disc authoring is available for purchase separately from Pinnacle.

Studio 24 Standard arrives in a box containing an installation DVD and a card with a download code for installing the application from the Pinnacle website instead of the DVD.

Q: 1. It works with pal system?

A: Ive used it for NTSC, the U.S. standard. The software that came with it has the PAL option grayed out, and the B&H description only mentions NTSC. If I wanted to do PAL, I would buy the package from a U.K. site. Just dont expect it to do a standards conversion. Any DVDs made would be PAL, and need a PAL or multi-standard player.

Q: 3. Can I use this device to capture video from a Panasonic MiniDV camcorder?

A: Probably. I haven't tried this particular camera. I had a Canon Mini-DV and a Sony that worked fine with it. The technology should be the same.

Q: 4. will this work if its plugged into a USB 3.0 port? (im using windows 8)

A: Just for the record; running Windows 8.1 - Denmark

A: Sorry, this software cannot do that. Also we are not aware of any software that can. Basically, whenever you stop, the available software will start again with another clip.

A: This stand has a maximum working height of 24' / 7.3 m and a minimum working height of 74.5" / 1.9 m.

Q: 9. What version of Windows does this work with?

A: I have been using this item with Windows 10 which was upgraded from Windows 7 and it has been working flawlessly converting 8mm video cassette tapes nearly thirty years old which I have also uploaded to YouTube for viewing by family members across the country. It also allows for easy cutting and editing. I have not used it with VHS tapes but I see no reason why it wouldn't work just as well.

Q: 10. Can I use this to capture video from camera and stream it out of the computer it is running into via Adobe Flash encoder o wirecast? I would need to do this real time.

A: The Dazzle DVD Recorder HD is not a streaming device. It is meant for enhancing older videos from analogue sources and then creating DVDs of them. For live streaming with Adobe Flash Encoder or Wirecast, INOGENI makes USB 3.0 Capture Cards that will work with those applications. One has VGA and Composite Video Inputs and the other has an HDMI input.

Most capture devices I have used create a jumpy image when capturing. However, this unit maintains a smooth image throughout the entire capturing and playback process. The Pinnacle Studio software that comes with it is also a product of AVID, so it works great with my AVID editing software. The Pinnacle Studio is limited in what it can edit, but it did more than I was expecting it to. Afterall, that's why I already had editing software. I now prefer using Pinnacle Studio as a separate capturing program for large edits and then importing to AVID for fine-tuning when it's needed. Most of all, I love that it takes signal from Standard Definition input as I'm not capturing High Definition signals. Too many other capturing devices of this caliber only had component inputs when I only needed composite. 5

I purchased this product out of desperation. I was stuck on a job with a HD pipeline push camera and My DVR (Digital Video Recorder) was not operating.I had no way to capture the work in progress until I purchased the Dazzle.
