A: It's a flat black paint. No grain is visible

Q: 3. Can wheels (casters) be added to this desk (as an option)?

A: you cant get casters as an option for this from Middle Atlantic, but there are adjustable feet that screw out to raise of lower. you can probably just unscrew them till the come out and then screw a threaded caster wheel in its place. Not sure on the size of the screw for the foot adjustment.

Q: 4. how do you know keys will fit my door?

A: Middle Atlantic uses the same standard lock for all of the rear doors on their racks, so the Middle Atlantic SRD-KEY Standard Rear Door Key Set (2 Copies) will work for locking and unlocking the rear door on any Middle Atlantic rack.

Q: 5. Can I keep the Middle Atlantic RK2 RK Series Rack (2U) on it's side? I want to put it under my desk but next to the desk leg. I keep a Audio Mixer and PDU in the Rack.

A: If the equipment doesn't mind the position, I doubt the rack will mind at all. I would be sure, positioning it sideways, that I had four rack screws in each piece of gear.

Q: 6. Are there rails or clips to support mini pcs?

A: The Middle Atlantic U2V Vented Universal Rackshelf does not include any rails or clips to support mini PC components specifically. The unit does include three rear brackets to prevent items placed on the shelf from sliding off the back, however.

Q: 7. will this work with Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini Rack Shelf ?

A: Yes, they are both standard 19" racks.
