Convert your SDI camera or video source for viewing on an HDMI display or video switch with this 12G-SDI to HDMI 2.0 Video Converter from ATEN. The compact converter auto-detects your input signal and allows you to pass through and re-clock up to DCI 4K 12G/6G/3G/HD-SDI video without any change in signal resolution or quality to an HDMI 2.0 output. It also allows you to choose from up to eight embedded audio channels for analog stereo output via 2RCA ports to a speaker system or an audio mixer.

To view your signal locally while sending it to an HDMI source, the converter also features a 12G-SDI loop output so you can monitor your video. The SDI signal supports cable distances of up to 148' when at 12G-SDI resolutions, up to 197' when at 3G-SDI resolutions, and up to 492' when at HD-SDI resolutions. The analog stereo audio selection is achieved using a dial on the front of the unit, which will select your preferred channels to send to speakers via the 2RCA L/R outputs.

A locking power adapter is included as well as an HDMI LockPro cable lock and four foot pads for use on surfaces. A separately available rackmount is available to mount the VC486 onto a standard rack.

A: Unfortunately, the AJA T-TAP Pro Thunderbolt 3-Powered Converter with 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 Output is not compatible with Blackmagic Design Davinci Resolve. Blackmagic Design is particular with its expansion devices and will need its own models.

A: There are 2 LUTS which may be used but only one applied at a time.

A: This mini converter does not work that way. It only converts HDMI to SDI. Same resolution and frame rate.

A: The AJA T-TAP Pro does not have built in downconverters. However, depending on the editing software, like Premiere Pro. You can have UHD/4K sequence and have the playback setting “match control panel” in Premiere Pro preferences with the T-tap Pro format set to HD/2K to playout.

Q: 8. Can this output different formats between the two outputs?

A: No it can not. The SDI and the HDMI outputs must be the same resolution.

Hi,We have Sony FS 7 , 4K cameras & 4 k upgraded FOR A HVS 110 switcher,We want to use this for 4 K Live production, we want your guidance on converting the 4K Hdmi output from Sony FS 7 camera to 4 K quad input of our FOR A switcher....with minimum of 70 mtr cable length,We are thinking of going for Teranex Mini - HDMI to SDI 12G - From camera end & re-converting to 4 k quad output with Teranex Mini - 12G-SDI to Quad SDI - at the switcher end , is it feasible to this with 70 - 80 mtrs of cable length with this converters, will it take this load for minimum 5 - 6 hours of production,will it gets heated up beyond the permissible limit, If it can take this load which cable you will recommend,Pl give us your technical opinion & options as we are not able to test it with our equipment, RegardsShashikant
