The LS 600d Pro Daylight LED Monolight from Aputure is a powerful COB LED fixture with expansive power, control options, and output comparable to a 1200W HMI, augmented by its 55° Hyper Reflector. The precision fixture has a solid 5600K color temperature with a high CRI/TLCI rating of 96 that is great for location shooting outdoors, or in areas dominated by other daylight-balanced fixtures such as HMIs. Besides power, control is a driving force in the design of the 600d Pro. The light also has a myriad of wireless control methods, such as the included 2.4 GHz remote, the Sidus Link mobile app, and the built-in wireless DMX control. It has four dimming curves: Linear, Exponential, Log, and S-Curve, to ensure accuracy regardless of your chosen brightness level. While you can make adjustments locally on the fixture, you can also make them wirelessly at a distance up to 328' via these methods - a real attribute for lights mounted overhead or in hard to reach places.

Powering the light has options too. The light is ready for worldwide use via its 100 to 240V power supply but thanks to its dual battery plate it can be powered by two 14.4V, 26V, or 28.8V batteries. The control box also accepts 48V (15A) DC power via a 3-pin XLR for external power stations. You can use two Gold Mount mount batteries and recharge them while they are connected to the plugged-in light.

The 600d Pro is weatherproof (dust and water resistant), so it is built to withstand any shooting environment. When it comes to features Aputure has left no stone unturned with the inclusion of special effects such as paparazzi, fireworks, lightning, faulty bulb, TV, pulsing, strobe, and explosion. Aputure has also generously provided a rolling case for storage and transport.

A: If you are going to use the Aputure on a Broncolor softbox just get a speedring for Aputure, their is a universal adapter for the Broncolor Para but not for Broncolor reflectors.

Q: 4. Will there be or is there currently a longer header/power cable from the lamp head to the distro box?

A: Currently the Extension cable is not available yet please check with us in 4-6 weeks

Q: 5. Can someone let us know whether this, and any of the other Aputure lights, have been tested or approved for high speed, 1000fps+ shooting?

Q: 6. Can Aputure or anyone else confirm how loud the fan noise on this will be? I own the intellytech Light Cannon Pro and it's fan noise makes the light virtually unusable for interviews.

A: This Apurture uses a whisper quiet fan, Apurture uses this type of fan in other of their led fixtures. They will work perfectly in your setup.

Q: 8. Can this fixture be purchased WITHOUT battery capabilities or a rolling case, for studio applications? Also, is Aputure working on a studio (overhead) yoke with gears for pan/tilt?

A: Unfortunately it is not available in that configuration.

Q: 9. The battery charger output on this light is aparrently 3 Amps. Does that mean if charging one battery it charges at the full 3 Amps? If there are two batteries charging, is that 3 Amps split in half? Does it do sequential charging or both at the same time?

A: Aputure does not list the amps used on the Aputure LS 600d Pro Light Storm Daylight LED Light, control box while it is being used to charge the batteries.

Q: 10. Will the power plug be adaptable to work with a UK style plug using a Watson US 3-prong to UK 3-prong adapter?

A: The power cord can be adapted with a UK plug adapter.

Aputure has some of the best customer service out there and when they design a product, they really listen to their customers and filmmakers. This light is phenomenal. The design is great, the output is great and I have very few complaints. The fan noise is inconsistent and can not be controlled. I think they are going to fix this with a future firmware update. The other complaint is that the cord provided doesn’t allow the distance between the light head and ballast to be long enough to put the ballast on the ground. Would be nicer to have a longer cord. Other than that, I absolutely love this light. Already used it on one shoot and I know it will get a lot of use in the future. 5

This light is unbelievable. It's basically a 300D but brighter and bigger. If you have already bought an Aputure light before, you know what you'll be getting. 1. Great build. 2.
