A: I would not recommend trying to stack multiple of the Film Devices Magnet with Cheese Plate (2.6"). These plates are not meant to be used stacked.

Q: 3. What is the maximum weight it can support at full horizontal extension?

A: Film Devces does not provide a weight capacity on their travel boompole kit as this will securely hold the weight of just about any microphone boom pole that you can fit onto it.

A: Yes, the Plustek 35mm Film Strip Holder will fit with the Plustek OpticFilm 7400 Scanner.

Q: 5. Is the bottom of the pole threaded to accept a 1/4"-20 or 3/8"-16 screw?

A: There are no thread connections specified for the bottom of the Film Devices Microphone Travel Boompole Kit (Carbon Fiber). The mounting thread on the top of the pole is 1/4"-20 and can be expanded to 3/8"-16 with the included thread adapter.

Q: 6. Is the grip head in this kit smaller than a standard grip head that comes with a typical C Stand? I already have a C-Stand with grip head but am hoping this is smaller, so I can use it for travel with a travel light stand and sand bag counterweight.

Q: 7. Can this mount to a light stand?

A: Yes. You will need the C-stand knuckle. When it's set up remember to either sandbag your C-stand securely or make sure that the cantilevered mic/boom pole don't tip the C-stand over.

Q: 8. Could I attach this to an impact air cushioned light stand?

A: The Impact Air-Cushioned Light Stand would not be sturdy enough for the Neewer Microphone Boompole Mounting Adapter and Holder with a boom pole and a mic attached. It will more than likely tip over. I recommend a C-stand (like B&H # IMLSCT40M) and two or three sandbags (like B&H # IMSBFB15).

Q: 9. Does the boom pole holder include the gray mount or is it just the cradle for the boom pole?

A: This item is just the cradle that holds the boom pole. The mount that is shown in gray in the photo is a grip head which is not included, but we do have them available separately. For example, the Impact Grip Head for Lights and Accessories - 2.5" Diameter - Chrome (B&H # IMKCP200) should work with most stands.

Q: 10. Is there any way I could mount this onto a boom stand with a 5/8 male thread? Maybe an adapter? If anybody knows please let me know.

A: Yes with a C stand Knuckle, something every cinematographer should have in the kit. Just make sure the boom pole and Mic don't get too front heavy, if so sandbag the stand to stabilize it. Better yet use a century stand rather than a lightweight light stand.
